Anselmheifer
What did chase young tweet? And do we have any MRI results? Also, you guys are ridiculous. Most hip flexors don’t wind up needing surgery. It’s not a given.

But who knows if he's actually had an MRI yet or not (assuming they actually do need to get him one).

Anselmheifer
No news about the MRI thus far. Could be bad news. I suspect if it was nothing, they’d tweet, “MRI WAS NORMAL!!!!!”, all in bold.

My guess is CY will be out for 1-2 weeks.
abdcskins
Conservative. Keep him out 3-4 weeks if necessary. Not worth the risk given this is a down year.

Tress Is The Way
Looks like he'll be out this week, but he's week to week with a moderate groin strain. https://www.nfl.com/news/washington-de-chase-young-groin-expected-to-be-out-vs-ravens
CommanderInTheRye
If there's a game you sit out Chase it's this one. Spending all day trying to run down a quarterback as elusive as Lamar "Lollypop" Jackson can pop a perfectly fine groin let alone one whose integrity is at best precarious.

He is out 1 game now, that gives 2 weeks of scar tissue to grow a patch. A patch isn't going to hold up against his over powering upper and lower body. Even if they sit him the following game that's 3 weeks and not enough to be confident about the scar tissue holding up to play the Rams at 1-3. The following week is the Giants game. I'd suspect him being held back 2 games with 4 weeks of healing time. That might get him a longer season, as the next tear would be #3 and any professional healthcare provider would be negligent to not require surgical procedure at that point. BRAVEONTHEWARPATH93
Take it as long you need. He’s too important and this season isnt nearly as important.
Mr. Sinister
I swore it was an ACL when he limped off and threw stuff. This is good. What a terrible game. It's one thing to lose comically on the scoreboard. but that + dropping bodies is the worst kind of L you can take as a football fan.
Est.1974
I’d sit him for 2 games, Ravens and Rams. I don’t believe the outcomes of those games would be dictated enough by Chase being in there. Ron might be running the clock out from the middle of the third quarter. Get him back for the Giants.

XxSpearheadxX
so it is a moderate strain and not a tear? That is great news. Still groins are tricky injuries to heal
Die Hard
A ‘strain’ is a tear. Mild is a micro-tear. Moderate is a micro-tear. Severe is considerable tissue damage where the structure is compromised. Edited October 3, 2020 by Die Hard 1

When you sprain your ankle you tear that tissue. One of the most misunderstood terms when it comes to injuries. By the way, nice to see you DH!

Warhead36
I didn't realize we play the Giants at MetLife in three weeks. I'd sit him that game too. That stadium has literally been a death knell for NFL players this year.

A ‘pull’ is another word commonly used for muscle strains. Can someone tell me if this groin issue is the same side as the issue early in TC with the hip flexor? If it is..... that has me concerned. Hi KDawg! I’m around... I read both FedEx and Tailgate..... but I almost exclusively post in Tailgate. The Redskins just leave me utterly speechless and in no way compelled to post. Right now, I’m probably more of a Chase Young fan than the Redskins.

Not that I want the kid to rush back at all but has there been any word on of he is practicing?
