Reuben Foster carted off on 2nd snap of OTA's

That's completely normal assessment to check distal pulses, nothing note-worthy there. We drafted Sweat. He'll wipe his sweat with Jason Taylors jacket.

What Andy Reid does every time the Skins make a trade with them... True. But the person who reported this may not know the difference Not necessarily. It's the same thing in the hospital organizational structure. There are different degrees of Technicians and typically senior staff can perform X-rays, Cat Scans, MRI's. It's just whether you've taken the class to use the machine.

Just because he rolls his knee doesn't make his season over. They have to complete an MRI to see if there are ligament tears. If there's tears, his season is over...if there's not, he'll have a high degree sprain (or overstretch of the ligaments). If you step on someones foot while running, you have an unstable surface under a weighted foot. You'd be susceptible to joint overstretch and tears. If you've never badly sprained or tore a ligament, they feel the same. Absolutely no difference in pain as the ligaments don't have nerves. The soft tissue has nerves and therefor the pain is equal. His likely tears were not pain, but rather shock symptoms from a severe injury and the impact that it carries. You just can't pull the trigger on the degree of any injury without an MRI. Not even an osteopath can diagnose a tear with a physical exam. Only thing you can detect is instability and solicited pain response. He's likely torn his knee ligaments by the sound of it, but you can't confirm that until you get an MRI.

How's the Redskins Roster shaping up?

That I also agree with. When you look at all things considered Josh has to play with more confidence and in his more recent game tape you can see that he was playing more aggressive. He's not going to get separation, as that's not what he has ever done. Rather, he runs his routes and is supposed to win 50/50 balls. Alex Smith never threw him a 50/50 ball more that was remotely catchable. Mainly because that's not Alex's game. Now, Case will definitely throw him 50/50's. Not sure about Haskins.

How's the Redskins Roster shaping up?

You're contradicting all the available data and NFL analytics about the NFL WR. Normally takes 2-3 yrs for a NFL WR to breakout. He absolutely doesn't run lazy routes. You've not watched his tape, nor his progression through the history of his career in college and up to now. He never has been about separation, nor speed. Production, really?! Compared to who, Reed? In what offense, with which QB, and which personnel group? This is childish.

Poll : Source of Massive Injuries the last 2 years

That doesn't make sense. If they're getting hurt before the season starts and during the season, that doesn't correlate to the degree of difficulty of training camp. If you listen to the experts and more recently retired Skins, that's not it. Cooley addressed this on his podcast and directly relates it to the training facility and staff that are #1 Understaffed #2 Antiquated. They've already addressed this with Consultants that have made updates to the facility to include a new wing built into the current facility that includes new cryo chambers and advanced healing equipment. Swearinger got cut for taking complaints to the media, undermining the coaching staff. His actions were immature and repeatedly egotistical. Maybe he had good intentions, however he was warned to keep complaints in house and his big mouth undermined the team and locker room. He just wanted to win, but he handled it terribly and they had to release him. The coaching staff isn't soft, the game plan is Vanilla and Predictable. Banging heads during the week doesn't have anything to do with preventing injuries. That's a miss understanding. A more accurate assessment would be that while practicing hard, the Skins Training Staff and facility doesn't help their players recover well and minor injuries turn into big ones that manifest the IR numbers. These consultants will at least be able to make the proper correlations to the largest concerns leading to the massive injuries.

How's the Redskins Roster shaping up?

That would be a huge mistake. People haven't done their research before talking down about Doctson. Watch the tape. Evaluate the QB vs the route assignment. Look at the personnel in the package. Put that all together, before making a statement about a players overall evaluation. Doctson hasn't been put into the right situation to take advantage of what he does best. In criticism for what Doctson hasn't done until you evaluate his last set of games, it comes down to aggressiveness and probably immaturity. He didn't breakout in college until his 3rd year. He didn't play in his rookie year, so this is his 3rd full NFL season. There's just too much risk to take the gamble on the 5th year option...I get it. That has nothing to do with how his progression has been slow historically and how expectations based on that would make you bullish on Doctson in his 3rd year, healthy, increasingly aggressive, and paired with more talented receivers on the field at the same time. It matters. There's no way Jay Gruden cuts Josh Doctson. Zero chance of that. Don't get me wrong, as I'm not a Josh Doctson fan. I'm just stating what I see and connecting the dots with all things considered. I believe he's an average #2 or good #3 NFL WR at his best. My expectations on the high side are 750-900 yards with 6-8 TDs.

Is this the best Defensive Front we've had in years?

Yeah Foster is always going for the kill shot and knocks himself out of games. He needs to play more mature and avoid silly mistakes that hurt the team, on the field and off the field.

Is this the best Defensive Front we've had in years?

Well if you like what the defensive line did last year then it will only get better. I'm not a Rob Ryan fan but he does know ILBers. I'd agree with the defensive play calling being a negative. Hopefully we get an uptick in desquising tendensies across the board, however, I'm bullish on the intelligence of Hamilton and I think there's more speed. Should translate into more 3rd down holds.

Is this the best Defensive Front we've had in years?

Not really, that's foosball bro. Had he stayed healthy they'd have made the payloffs in his first year and surprised us all. Contract was only 23.5M per year on avg. They just gave him too much guaranteed...and Fuller. No worries, that's the Skins man.

Is this the best Defensive Front we've had in years?

If you put 8 in the box...you'll have something like this: Ryan Kerrigan Jonathan Allen D Payne Sweat/Anderson Re.Foster Hamilton/Foster Landon Collins Theyd man up with Norman, Dunbar, DRC. Seriously smells like Napalm in the Morning! Smells like...Victory!
  16. Every year at this time it's the same hope. Guice isn't a force in the NFL. He's still an unproven rookie. Peterson is still worth 1000 yards but that was only worth 7-9 record. There's upside to the running game but only optimism. QB play could push .500 Past that it's highly unlikely that this team is ready to compete. Probably 2020.
  17. That's hilarious. Haskins won't even play until after the season is over likely after the bye week unless they go 1-4 and Jay is fired for O'Connell. I'd be more down with your expectations for 2020. Last year I picked 6-10 so they exceeded expectations. This year they're just a .500 team and I picked 7-9 for a below expectation performance
  18. Absolutely still a .500 team at best in 2019. The defense might be a bit better however the offense run by predictable Jay isn't going anywhere until he does something drastically different or is replaced. Maybe roll downhill on fire straight to the first overall pick in 2020

The nature of the game in consulting is that you are only needed as long as there's a problem. When the problem is evaluated and addressed, there's typically a second half to that consultancy that would be something like 'Who will implement'. Sometimes the consultants try to implement their evaluations, however this isn't typically their specialty as much as their evaluation and identification processes. Getting a shot at implementation doesn't reflect negatively on their primary function and really what they're supposed to be good at. I'd envision that they'll immediately identify key deficiencies and institute new in house policies to begin a correction where it's identified. It's possible that there's system problems and we'd see additions to the staff first. Recruiting and boosting talented staff to upgrade and correct deficiencies is typically what you'll do as a work in progress.

    Paloffs is Now: 2007(merged)

I think that topic has been pushed around in multiple other threads about starting QB and Haskins. I think the consensus was that it's best to let them play it out. In todays NFL there's no direct positive or negative one side view. It's the best player situation here. If Case is ahead of Haskins, then Case should start. The difference is when Case slumps, then Haskins will get the gig and it won't be changed after that. You don't put a rookie in with the risk of losing anything. It's all experience and you live or die with it.

Will the coaching be good enough for the talent?

I don't believe that Jay Gruden can do the same things he's done before and remain employed on game days. There's an expectation that he'll utilize Kevin O'Connell to bump his game planning and play calling to a different tune. If not he won't make it to far this year. The talent in the coaching staff is legit. The HC has to take the reigns and make it happen.

  23. Yeah I hate NASCAR except if I want to fall asleep, then I'll put it on and turn up the surround sound for the noise going around in circles! I thought his release looked like Dan Marino so I watched some Marino highlights and he does throw like that. His arm will get stronger too, he's just a youngster. Look at Brady coming into the league and his arm strength was the question. He worked on building his arm strength and it worked out well. Haskins has a great arm and quick release. Only upside with this young QB for sure.
  24. What's a race card?? Oh, does it have something to do with NASCAR? I'm confused.
