Impeachment

  1. 1. Should Donald Trump be impeached for obstruction of justice?

Recommended Posts

I don't trust Tucker Carson. Sounds like what he is saying amounts to "it was not good, but not worth impeaching over"  it seems more about creating a narrative to move the bar on what is considered a "high crime & misdemeanor" worthy of impeaching than any kind of actual condemnation of Trump's action.  For comparison, do you think he'd say the same thing about Obama if he was caught red handed doing this, and then lying constantly about it after words, having everyone around him lying about it and trying to cover it up? Yeah F'N Right.

Oh, you mean like the liberal media has been doing to Trump since he took office? The hypocrisy is astounding.

Please elaborate.....Trump skating on past crimes does not = media moving goal posts.  In fact the complete opposite.

Where are the crimes? Please give an example of any crime he has committed? First it was collusion which was a complete failure. Then it was Kavanaugh, another failure. Now the impeachment garbage. Like I said before, he will be re-elected. The dems have nobody that can or will beat him.

I would also also like to add that Biden has much more to hide than Trump does. The transcript is there for all to read.

Also, for all the fun that is made of Trump’s health, didn’t Bernie just suffer a heart attack? I guess that’s what happens when you are trying to sell the American public on how great socialism is.

Eh, last time I checked Trump isn't even "hiding" anything anymore. Those around him are sure as hell trying though, with their lying and changing stories constantly.

It's ok though, I know your position "everything is normal, everything is fine"

Please answer my original question. Where are the crimes?

Dude you showed up to the thread 66 pages in, go read the last 10-15 pages. READ.  Stop taking your narratives from Fox, or Mark Levin, or whoever else could write your replies for you.  Then do some more reading, as in The Mueller report, which I am sure you haven't but I bet you can recite to me word for word Barr's summary.

Are you talking about crimes for which there is evidence he may have committed or crimes for which he has been indicted and/or convicted?

*To the rest of the board*: This seems to be one of the favorite tactics on the far right safe spaces like Breitbart. They'll ask "WHAT ARE HIS CRIMES? HUH?" and then when you give a list of possible crimes for which there is evidence and cite the evidence (for example just in the last week and a half you have evidence of potential campaign finance violation, bribery, extortion, honest services fraud, witness intimidation, obstruction of justice, and conspiracy). Then they say "NO, LIBTARD. CRIMES HE'S ACTUALLY BEEN ACCUSED OF AND INDICTED FOR OR CONVICTED OF!! GOD YOU LIBTARDS ARE SO DUMB. SEE? YOU HAVE NOTHING!!!"

They don't accept any evidence for possible crimes by Trump unless he's actually been criminally indicted or convicted of something. Which is a really convenient out since sitting presidents don't get criminal indictments due to DoJ policy (as Mueller specifically pointed out when he wrote an exhaustive and detailed list of 10 times Trump had likely obstructed justice...many of which met the bar for having corrupt intent). It's all just a kabuki theater of deflection, misdirection, and whining.

But of course as soon as a new conspiracy theory comes out about Biden/Warren/Soros/Clinton/whoever doing something criminal they immediately jump on it and within 5 comments you have people calling for them to be executed for treason (literally). If you have the stomach for it, check it out. It's really pretty awe inspiring in some ways.

Soliciting foreign campaign aide is a crime.

Obstruction of justice is a crime.

“Individual-1” was a co-conspirator with Michael Cohen and would have been been prosecuted if he weren’t protected by the immunity granted by his office.

Only thing saving him from federal prosecution is the OLC memo stating that a sitting President cannot be indicted, hence... impeachment.

Newsflash ladies and gents. Just like previous attempts, this will not end well for the dems. Better buckle up for 5 more years.

A wet donkey covered in poop will beat Trump, the most unpopular President in modern history at this point. Unfortunately for him and his cult members, majority of the public already wants him impeached and convicted and the trial hasn’t even started yet. 😂

People are fed up and all that remains for support is the usual cadre of bootlickers and bottom feeders.

Does it make you happy to be rooting for the downfall of America?

Like, I understand rooting for the Redskins to lose.  I do It myself.  It’s a child’s game and really doesn’t matter.

Bur you, you’re rooting for corruption of the American model.  You’re rooting for the erosion of dignity of the highest office.  You want the president to be above the law, able to do exactly anything he wants without punishment.

I highly doubt your love for this country.

Also, it was like 2am when you were posting in this thread.  Way to get some balls and drunk post while everyone else is asleep.

There's probably hundreds.  But I'm going to

1)  Pretend that you're actually willing to pay attention.

2)  Pretend that you're simply ignorant of reality, as opposed to firmly committed to denying it.

(Despite the fact that your posts indicate that neither of those assumptions is correct.)

And mention just the biggest ones that I can come up with quickly.

1)  The Trump campaign knowingly met with a representative of Russian Intelligence, for the specific, pre-stated purpose of negotiating how to get Russian Intelligence to help the campaign.

There is a slim chance that Trump, personally, did not know these facts in advance.  But it is absolutely known that he knew about the results within hours after it happened, and approved of them.  Because within hours after the meeting, he publicly bragged about it.

2)  Within weeks of taking office (and after firing almost the entire top levels of the federal government, (but after publicly making a big deal about how proud he was that the head of the FBI was an exception to his purge, because the head of the FBI had helped the GOP feed false news into the news cycle, days before the election), upon discovering that the FBI was investigating the actions of the Russian Government using their state intelligence services to help the Republican Party win an election (and that the Trump campaign had known about it, before it happened, known that it was Russian Intelligence doing it, and was publicly bragging about it), personally met with the head of the FBI.

At this meeting, he asked the head of the FBI to promise that he would make sure that the FBI's investigation of Russian Intelligence's actions in the election didn't mention that Trump's staff were involved.

(The head of the FBI immediately thought "Holy ****!, the President of the United States is actually, personally, asking me to obstruct justice", did not promise to keep Trump staffers out of the investigation, and began a policy, from that day forward, every interaction he had with Trump's staff, as soon as it was over, to write down everything he was told, and to make sure that his notes were distributed to places where the White House couldn't get at the notes.)

Within one day of not getting a promise that the Head of the FBI would obstruct justice as ordered, Trump ordered his staff to come up with a fake reason for firing him.  And then did so.

(The lame excuse they came up with, was that he was fired for being too mean to Hillary.)

3)  In violation of the US Constitution, from the day he took office, he has maintained business connections for the specific purpose of permitting people, including foreign governments, (whom he actively, publicly, solicits), to funnel him large sums of cash.

4)  More recently, Donald Trump has coordinated a months-long conspiracy to bully the government of the Ukraine, a country which has been invaded by the Russian army, into generating a fake "investigation" whose sole purpose is to serve as a prop in a political slander operation against the guy who he thought he would be running against in the election.  The plan revolved around Trump personally intercepting funds which Congress has allocated to help Ukraine become less defenseless against the invading Russian army, and then Trump personally telling the President of the Ukraine exactly what he needs to do, and exactly which person he needs to do it to.

5)  Upon learning of this illegal activity, one person actually reported that gee, that's a crime.  He reported it to the internal investigation department of his own agency.  Who investigated the report, concluded that a crime had been committed, filed a criminal complaint with federal law enforcement.  And Trump's hand picked subordinates "fixed the ticket" and made it go away.

He then approached the portions of Congress who have the security clearances, and the authority, of overseeing his agency, and asked what to do about criminal activity which he has reported, and which is being covered up by the Department of Justice.  Congress advised him to file a whistleblower report with the next inspecting agency up the chain, and to take steps to protect himself from political retaliation.

He did so.  And that inspector also concluded that a crime was committed, and forwarded the conclusion to the appropriate law enforcement agencies.

Who "fixed the ticket", and made the report go away, again.

But this time, Congress was actually aware that the complaint existed.  And when DOJ lied, and claimed that no such thing existed, Congress knew better, and insisted.  Eventually, they were able to obtain something which, by law, they should have been notified of when it happened.

- - - -

I'm sure there's hundreds of others.  The man is incapable of behaving as anything other than what he thinks a mob boss is like.   The man lies about butt texts.

But those are what I think of as the biggest ones.

I'm willing to concede that it's mathematically possible that somewhere out there in America, there actually is a Trump supporter who is simply ignorant.

I mean, there's millions of them.  I'm certain that 99% of them are simply well trained liars.  But there's room for simple stupidity in there, too.

I feel personally attacked.

But yeah, TrumpKlan hates our modern America...the multi-ethnic, multi-cultural, all men/women created equal America.  They would rather destroy it from within than get along.  That’s why they fly confederate flags and that’s why they bootlick police and the military while simultaneously amassing an arsenal to murder any policeman or soldier who would serve justice upon them.  And that’s why they regurgitate talking points that they absolutely do not believe a word of.

They are, in a word, deplorable.  And that’s being very, very kind.

Thank you for having the patience to write a well thought out response. I know that all of us capable of reading and prefrontal cortex thought appreciate it, I fear however it's intended audience will not understand.
