It almost seemed like Doctson thought he was supposed to stop and sit in the soft part of the zone, but when he felt the throw going long he tried to start running again. Who knows. Me personally, it is 3rd & 3, a FG ties the game, only about 10-15 yards from where Hopkins can comfortably make the kick, so why not just concentrate on going for the 1st down conversion.
