Get away from the European skills competition. Lots more time and space in the regular season to play that way.. Need a mindset of going to the net, stopping, looking for rebounds.. This team looks for pretty passes and snipes far too often. (Why their playoff goals scoring usually dries up, imo)  Im not saying it can't be done, but this group doesn't seem to be able to pull it off.

This Caps team can beat the Pens 4 out of 5 but they need everyone playing their best and freaking finishing their chances. This is ridiculous all the shots right at Fleury, the soft goals against. Pens have beaten us several times down 2 games, it's time to return the favor. 

 

If they lose lose this series I don't think anyone on the roster is safe but we will get to that when it comes.

What's worse is the puck luck goes against us, instead of deflected shots towards net it goes back the other way for odd man rushes.

If we don't turn this series around, step 1 has got to be to hire a coach that has won a Stanley cup.  Preferably more than 1, and been to a handful of conference finals.  Our coaches haven't known how to playoffs.  We need one that knows how to playoffs.
