Chinn feels like the one guy out of the bunch that we’re gonna regret not signing for longer. Love the pickups so far but plenty more to be done- let’s get that CB, LT, and WR

Tomorrow all teams have to be under the cap some big players could get cut.

Need to have around $15 mil or so for the draft to pay the rooks. I believe we have around $55 mil after today. So maybe $40 mil to spend tomorrow and beyond. Not hard numbers but that is what I think it is.

Seems like Gabe there may change his plans...  before this past year Ridley only had 1K yards one time. Coming off the bling thing I had lowered expectations and he far exceeded them.  I want a stud WR but my choices Pittman and Evans aint happening and he'd be a decent consolation. Rookies WR produce faster than ever but still they are a crapshoot.  As you know all signs currently point to a QB and LT with our top picks... not a WR.

He will probably want top 10-15 money with his talent and upside.  I might consider a 2 year deal for $25M?

Havent heard his name once other than this thread which signals a return to Jax.  The good news is that this draft is WR heavy... tons of guys to be had on day 2-3 this year. Should be fun to watch these guys work on draft day.

I'd target Mike Williams if he becomes a cap casualty for the Chargers. 1K yard receiving talent, entering his age 30 season coming off an ACL tear, 6' 4" 218 bigger bodied target for the rook opposite Terry. Shouldn't cost a fortune given the age and injury history but could have a bounce-back year along with his buddy Ekeler.

If the QB is ROY legit they could have a winning record. If he's garbage they could repeat last year, or close. It'll be hard to be as bad as last years team.

One thing to always keep in mind is most other teams are trying to get better too, not trying to tread water or lose. Other than the AFC South, and Minnesota, it's hard to figure out what teams are actively falling apart, I mean, even in the South, Tampa kept around its key offensive weapons, Atlanta gave all their offensive talent an actual effective QB for the first time in their careers, Arizona is gonna add key weapons, they've got like 3 top 35 picks or whatever, its hard to think of an NFC team that's gonna crater hard other than the teams that already suck, and maybe NYG having no QB option, and I suppose Minny, unless they can get adequate cover at QB.

I don't think my floor expectation is all that likely (3-4 wins) but then again how many people predicted 4 wins last year, or a, what was it, 8 game losing streak to end the year? I suspect we probably win 6 games next year, but handing the offense over to Howell, crappy Mariota, or the rookie? I struggle to see 7 wins, and figure 5 or 6 are most likely.

Perhaps the conversation with Jonah Williams is: we will pay you LT money but reserve the right to play you at LT or RT depending on how the draft shakes out... interested?

You really don't want to play Jonah Williams at RT. He stunk there. He's better than Wiley there but that's not saying much.

Plus, we got his former head coach and teammate to put in a good word for him

We haven’t signed anyone recently. Wtf Peters? First Scoots McGoots and now no signing in the last couple hours?

Time to get rid of the guy.

I both acknowledge your post to prove I’m not ignoring you.

And I recognize this as sarcasm and I’m proud of myself.  But not Scooter part, though. That’s truly a tragic oversight.

Think there’s a real good chance he’s targeted should he be released. He is exactly the big bodied receiver we’re looking for
