His tools are very comparable to josh Allen’s…I’m sure I’ll catch flack for that, but I believe it

I could see that.

To me, it felt like he could be everything we wanted Heinicke to be. Still plays with a whole lot of moxie and swagger, but actually has an NFL arm and enough pocket presence to know when to use his legs.

Because Turner handcuffed him all game, it's a really, really small sample size, but I'm excited to see him compete for the starting job next year.

Why would we not develop Howell this off-season as the starter?  If he was a first round pick it wouldn't even be a question.  I've seen everything I need.  Accuracy, check. Mobility, check. Quick decisions, check. Quick release, check. Arm strength, triple check (that pass to Terry).

Allen is bigger, faster and has a bigger arm. But a mini Allen? Maybe.

More like a larger Baker Mayfield than a smaller Allen.

Do we think he can take the pounding of a 17 game season?

Can't wait to see the reactions when he has a couple duds in a row.  We'll see how excited everyone is then.

Easy to be excited about a guy who beats Dallas in his first career start.

The numbers don’t lie, all Howell does is win ;)

I am still not confident enough to bet next season on him as starter, though he has earned a chance to compete. From what I saw of the defense, we could be a winner with Jimmy G managing the game

Assuming Jimmy G plays more than 8 games.

Allen is a big guy. Howell is not.

Well if you are a Howell fan, Washington's history suggests the more guaranteed money we give Jimmy G, the sooner he will have a career ending injury.
