This is all I have been saying for the past 5 years.  We have to run a pass progressive offence regardless of our team history.  

If we are not exploiting shallow gaps with quick dumps/screens or crosses, then we are climbing up hill in an era where all the rules benefit the pass game.

You still have to try to be somewhat aggressive. Maybe not deep shots but quick short passes to guys in space.
