They should sentence him to 30 days and then leave him in prison for 40 years.
If he complains about the retabulation, do 3 things:
1. Blast him with a firehose for half an hour.

2. Blast him with the firehose for another half hour.
3. Throw him a dirty hand towel and tell him to go **** himself

Starting to think the plan is to uncover as much crap on him as possible but never charge him with anything.  Let him take the nom in ‘24, use it all against him during the campaign and just beat him again.  He’s so polarizing that Dems probably have a better chance against him than DeSantis.

Anybody else think this?

I'm not sure if that's the strategy, but I'd agree with the fact that he's much more likely to lose than DeSantis.  DeSantis is just a more polished Trump, aka the dems worst nightmare.

Jan. 6 probe subpoenas Republican House leader Kevin McCarthy, other lawmakers allied with Trump

The select committee investigating the Jan. 6 Capitol riot subpoenaed House Republican leader Kevin McCarthy and four other lawmakers allied with former President Donald Trump.

The other House Republicans to be issued subpoenas are Reps. Jim Jordan of Ohio, Andy Biggs of Arizona, Mo Brooks of Alabama and Pennsylvania's Scott Perry.

McCarthy had previously refused the panel's request for him to voluntarily cooperate with the investigation.

The move marked the first time that the bipartisan investigation has issued subpoenas to sitting members of Congress. The dramatic step came less than a month before that House committee planned to kick off a series of public hearings.

If they refuse to answer those subpoenas they MUST be charged.

Like Meadows, Navarro and Scavino?  The DOJ is sitting on its hands and seemingly doing nothing.  They already all should have been charged with contempt of Congress already.

Exclusive: Oath Keepers Leader Stewart Rhodes' Children Speak

Elmer Stewart Rhodes, the founder and leader of the antigovernment Oath Keepers organization, was, at the time of publication, in federal custody awaiting trial for his alleged role in orchestrating events at the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C., on Jan. 6, 2021.

Prosecutors' most recent allegations against Rhodes include that he attempted to contact then-President Donald Trump through an intermediary in the days leading up to the Jan. 6 insurrection. They further alleged that Rhodes, in a conference call with Oath Keepers members in the days following Trump’s election defeat, characterized Trump's opponents as a cabal of pedophiles.

In February, Hatewatch met with and interviewed Rhodes’ adult children: son Dakota Adams, 24, and daughters Sedona Adams, 23, and Sequoia Adams, 19, in Kalispell, Montana. Rhodes and his ex-wife, Tasha Adams, have three other children who are still minors, and are not included in this interview.

The conversation shed important new light on the psychology of the Oath Keepers founder and provided the untold story of the impact of his public activities on his family.

The January 6 Committee Gets Ready for Prime Time

The House select committee investigating the January 6 attack is boldly going where congressional committees almost never go: prime time. Next month, the panel is set to hold a week or so of hearings, and to achieve maximum impact, it intends to put on its show in the evening, starting in the 8:00 hour on the East Coast, when there is potential for a large television audience. With this move, the committee could achieve what hasn’t occurred in a long time: a congressional hearing that makes a difference.

Blockbuster congressional hearings used to be a fixture in American life. The Army-McCarthy hearings. The Senate Vietnam War hearings (during which a young antiwar vet named John Kerry poignantly remarked, “How do ask a man to be the last man to die for a mistake?”). The Watergate hearings. Iran-contra. Clarence Thomas-Anita Hill. These and other hearings riveted the nation. (The Thomas-Hill hearings included a dramatic evening session.) Occasionally hearings have made news that has defined issues or yielded significant change. The 1994 hearing that placed in the hot seat the chief executives of the top seven tobacco companies—who each testified that they did not believe cigarettes were addictive—was a landmark moment in the battle against Big Tobacco and corporate malfeasance. Hillary Clinton’s marathon 11-hour appearance before a House Benghazi committee demonstrated that the Republicans’ conspiratorial allegations were baseless.

Yet congressional hearings have generally not had the impact they once did. Overall, the quality of these sessions has decreased. There’s usually too much jawboning by senators and representatives who are ill-prepared and interested mostly in producing a soundbite that may or may not be relevant to the subject of the hearing. The sessions can produce viral clips that bring attention to an important subject. (Democratic Representatives Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Katie Porter have demonstrated talent in this regard.) And they can still offer drama, as with the Brett Kavanaugh-Christine Blasey Ford showdown. But often they don’t do much to alter narratives or the world.

I will be out of the country when the hearings start.  It will be interesting to see how much information filters out.

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) claims Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) “altered” Jordan's texts to Trump Chief of Staff Mark Meadows.

During a recent Fox News appearance, Congressman Jim Jordan (R-OH) slammed Congressman Adam Schiff (D-CA) for presenting a text message he forwarded to former President Trump’s Chief of Staff Mark Meadows “in a false way to the American people.”

The text Jordan referenced was one of the thousands of text messages sent to Meadows that was released by the select committee investigating the January 6 attack on the Capitol.

Jordan went on to say that the committee is “recording colleagues” and “lying to people” because it is driven by “animosity towards President Trump.” The Ohio congressman and fierce supporter of the former president stated that President Trump was the best president of our lifetime and did what he said he would do.

Jordan is one of several GOP lawmakers recently subpoenaed by the January 6 panel.
