The crazy thing about these last few Eastman emails is that he sent one after the Capital was cleared at around 11:50 something saying basically ‘This is your last chance to do what we want’

Like…..what the ****? That’s clearly trying to use the violence to your advantage. Thats a ****ing threat.

Yet trump refused to issue him a pardon

probably cause he was mad Eastman didn’t get the job done

which falls in line with exactly how trump treats every one of his allies, once he realized they’re of no use anymore.

Exclusive: Read Judge Luttig's statement to January 6 committee

CNN has obtained a statement from retired federal judge J. Michael Luttig, a Republican who is testifying at Thursday's January 6 committee hearing. Luttig will provide a sharp condemnation of former President Donald Trump's attempts to overturn the 2020 election, saying Trump and his allies "instigated" a war on democracy "so that he could cling to power."

Luttig outlined in his statement how close he believed democracy came to the brink.

Luttig, live during the hearing, called Trump and his allies a clear and present danger to the future of democracy in the United States.

Replace "Trump and his allies and supporters" with "and the entire Republican Party".

when TrumpCo decided that "we're going to simply throw out the votes from six entire states", but we need those six states to forge election documents, how many Republicans in said states voted against the forgery?

How many times have how many state legislature's Republicans voted unanimously to suppress voting, while making vague hand waves and mumbling something about "restoring confidence in our system"?

How many people participated in the plan to overthrow the election?  And how many took any action whatsoever to block it?

He speaks like someone who clearly considers every word that comes out of his mouth.

If it helps, compare him to Trump who just spouts whatever mush comes to his brain without reservation and perhaps it is a bit less painful.  A bit.

I think that's obvious

Since he only

says three words

at a time

with a good

Is it possible that Christie will enter the 2024 race if only to participate in the 2023 debates and help eviscerate Trump? Like he did to Rubio?

Bridgegate was hilarious (of course not for the travelers or his minions *looking at you, Bill Stepien*)  He thought he couldn't be exposed, but he was.  And he's said publicly that Trump was an idiot.  I'd love to see him throw a wrench in the spokes.  Might make the whole R system tumble.

(yes, the pun is intended)

I don't know why Pence is getting so much credit for doing the "right" thing, the guy literally did everything BESIDES stand up for our democracy. If he is so much of a hero, where is he now? He's doing the same thing he was doing before, looking out for Mike Pence. Until he proves himself to embolden to our democracy, he should been hanged for treason.

Word of caution. If your interest is that something come out of this… you need like 80% of the country to agree it’s at least worthy of a trial.

You gotta be ok with people that change their minds now. Don’t beat them over the head about what took so long.

The only reason Pence didn't go along with their coup was that he's a gutless sack of ****. In the end, they're all cowards, big talk as they throw someone else under the bus but when it's their turn? Nope, nuttin. Not a single one of them anywhere has ever fallen on his sword for their cause, they've all been shivved from behind.

He certainly talked to anyone about what he should do. Except speak for himself every time that he was going to follow the Constitution and amendments. I don't give him any credit for doing the right thing because he was exploring what he should do and probably what would happen to him if he didn't.
