It feels like they’re going with blocking TEs and 5 receiver sets. The opposite of Olsen, which is odd that we tried to get him to sign here.

Not that odd. As a coach, albeit a lower level, guys who are familiar with my system are a boon no matter their physical fit to the **** I want to do.

Hence: Kyle Allen.

Karmen Curl.  Anyone know anything about him?

Decent player. Moves decently. Lanky, long, tall, not wide.

He’s probably mostly a special teams guy unless they’re tired of giving Reaves/Apke chances. But I think Reaves and Apke are both better players.

Im wondering if they think he can play corner?

Id have preferred a specs guy like Trajan Bandy, personally.

Kamren Curl could be a Sleeper on draft day

Former Razorback defensive back Kamren Curl has caught the eye of ESPN draft expert Mel Kiper Jr. CBS Sports projects that Curl won’t be drafted after seven rounds, but the former Hog could sneak onto some teams draft boards as the rounds progress. The 2020 NFL Draft will be held virtually and starts on Thursday before carrying over into Saturday.

Curl started at strong safety for the Hogs last season, and he did it all for the Razorback defense. He finished fourth on the team in tackles with 76 this past season, including 46 solo in the 11 games he played. He also had 4.0 tackles behind the line of scrimmage for 12 yards in losses to go with 2.0 sacks. He had a pair of interceptions for 22 return yards and defended four passes. His two interceptions were a team-high. He also forced and recovered two fumbles for 69 yards.

“Kamren Curl came out early at Arkansas, but he ran a, you know, 4.59 or 4.6,” Kiper said last week. “Played a little faster than that. He’s a big corner. He’s got really good arm length, he’s got the longest arms of any corner in this draft. He played corner and then he played safety. So, he’s got the ability to help you out in both ways. He’ll help you on special teams, and he’ll be a corner or safety with great length.”

As a three-year starter for the Hogs, Curl played cornerback as a freshman before moving to safety prior to his sophomore season. According to NFL.com analyst Lance Zierlein, Curl was given a 5.52 grade on his prospect profile, which translates to having a “chance to make the end of a roster or practice squad.”

“Three-year starter with adequate size, instincts and competitiveness, but lacking speed and a plus position characteristic,” Zierlein wrote. “Curl has experience in man coverage, but might be better suited as a split-safety where he can cover with his eyes more frequently than with his athleticism and speed. He'll come up to hit and tackle but doesn't have the frame or power to be an impactful run deterrent near the line of scrimmage. He has a chance to become a backup safety at some point if he has enough speed.”

Curl was invited to the 2020 NFL Combine in Indianapolis earlier this year and put together a solid performance. He checked in at 6-1, 1/4 inches, 206 pounds and tied for the best bench press mark of any defensive back with 24 reps in the 225-pound bench press. He added to his resume during Arkansas’ Pro Day last month.

This is what I found..
