It isn't just a disgrace, or a disease... it is a ****ing inoperable gangrenous tumor deep in the brain of the country. It is straight out of a Ray Bradbury or George Orwell story ... but it is vomit-inducing to behold in real-life, rather than in fiction.

You are right on the about the Trumpers getting distilled impeachment information. But to be clear I think even Trumpers know that never-Trumpers are GOP conservatives (What they call RINOs) and wouldn't call them socialists. It's one of the reasons I miss Al Franken. He was very good at questioning and being pointed. A number of the Dems are just too darn nice or too darn wimpy. Schiff does a good job and Hines tries, but a bunch of the rest are sort of just there.

NoCalMike
Hunter Biden being on the board could be corrupt as corrupt can be, yet it would still be irreverent to Trump's actions. To buy into the GOP's main argument, you would have to believe that when a criminal in a powerful position is crafting the scheme, the first thing they do is go out and tell every single individual in the room, then instruct them to tell everyone else they work with. It is a preposterous idea. When you know you are doing something wrong and/or illegal the whole point is to tell as few people as possible and then lead the sheep to the slaughter unbeknownst to them to get what you want. Ultimately, I don't think it comes down to it though. I don' think there is a crime or misdeed serious enough to make McConnell blink. I don't think you can find enough GOP senators who love their country enough to convict Trump if he is impeached.
