Gray and Adon looking really good--but Gray needs to get his homer problems under control, and the D-backs lineup sucks something awful. They've scored 1 run in their last 29 innings. I really like Gray, but he has some work to do.

Yep, Dbacks lost 110 games last year and look like they could push 130 losses this year. Nice outings for our younguns but that was a minor league lineup.

A couple of bright spots in the Nats farm...

Luis Garcia tabbed IL Player of the Week

Rochester Red Wings’ infielder Luis Garcia was named the International League Player of the Week after leading the league in hits (14), batting average (.519), and total bases (23) over the six game span, from April 12-17.

The shortstop haunted Buffalo pitching by picking up a pair of doubles and triples, homering once, and bringing in five runners. Garcia came around to score nine times, striking out just four times. The 14 hits picked up by the 21-year old was good enough to rank him first in all of Minor League Baseball in the hit category.

The Red Wings’ infielder has a slashline of .377/.411/.623 through 12 games this year including 20 hits, two homers, two triples, three doubles, and seven RBI.

Emiliani Named Carolina League Player of the Week

FREDERICKSBURG, VA – Fredericksburg Nationals' 1B/DH Leandro Emiliani was named the Carolina League Player of the Week for the week of April 11-17, the league announced this afternoon.

Emiliani, a 22-year-old from San Antero, Colombia, had a big week at the plate, going 6-for-12 (.500) with three doubles, a triple, and a two-run home run in three games against the Carolina Mudcats. He also drove in four runs in the series and racked up 14 total bases.

Gray and Ruiz have shown a lot of promise. House is tearing it up, Jeremy De La Rosa has improved a ton, Garcia is lighting AAA up, a few pitchers have looked really good, Mitchell Parker being one. I really want to see Vaquero play in rookie ball soon.

I don’t think we’ll win 40

games this year. A roster full of JAGs and I would bet that Soto forces a trade to gtfo, especially if the Lerners don’t end up selling the team. Those tightwads don’t spend the money to maintain a competitive team.
