Speaking of bonus players, re the updates above on Robert Hassell, he was regarded as the best pure hitter that came over in the trade and he absolutely stunk last year. But he dealt with a hamate injury for the better part of two years, and was still recovering from it most of last season. Having dealt with a hamate type injury before, it takes absolutely forever to regain strength in your hand/wrist in a way that is sufficient to handle the amount of torque generated by swinging a baseball bat. Glad to see him picking back up and raking now.

It’ll be truly amazing if he pans out. Could definitely see if move back into the top 100. I think we’ll see him go to Rochester when Wood comes up with Lile backfilling him in Harrisburg.

Twice tonight Williams has loaded the bases with 0 outs and has pitched his way out of trouble.

The offense is too light. Would love to see Wood and Stone up.

I’d give Winker a 1st baseman’s mitt and see if he can play there. Have an OF of Wood, Young, and Thomas with Garrett at DH.

You wouldn't think a Shutout would be led by an ugly outing from the Starter, but it happened. A WHIP of 1.8 and somehow it never happened. Helps that the Bullpen is turning into something nice.

Anyone have any idea how to read this or the methodology for how they rank it? It's pretty different from what they would post for the Top 100, which makes it really interesting.

For reference, here's the end of 2023's minor league rankings:

Just trying to figure out however the stats are combined into this ranking system could be indicative of future success. Cause Jacob Young being 2nd in 2023 has certainly panned out. Does this portend well to Lara (who fell off most org Top 30 rankings in 2023) and Glasser?

Ruiz is the only one that is a real issue. The rest are one year fillers. Rosario and Meneses are particularly frustrating though. Menseses has been bad for 2 years.

Ruiz is probably still not 100% after he dropped the 20lb or whatever it was with the flu.

CJ’s bases loaded fly out landed about 100ft short of what I expected off the bat.

That ball is gone in good June weather...
