mammajamma
I absolutely hate those guys going to LA, and I won't be able to root for them ever again, but that return does sound better for us...
spjunkies
But I don't wanna lose them. Somebody stop this madness please

Burgold
Mid range prospects? How can you let Scherzer go for anything lower than super blue chippers?
mammajamma
So replacing Max with a top 5 pitcher prospect, but then giving away the 2nd best SS in the league for a catcher and midrange guys?
ixcuincle
It's not even a major prospect deal as the LAME STREAM MEDIA has led you to believe STOP THE TRADE!! VERY UNFAIR!
Renegade7
I coulda lived with trading Max, but trading Turner, too? 1
TheGoodBits
Gray and Ruiz are consensus top 50 prospects but honestly that should be the return for just Turner with another year of control. Then you’re basically giving Max away for a couple lower tier prospects. Meh…
CRobi21
They better LOVE at least one of those mid tier guys....
dyst
They are doing right by both guys to send them to a contender like that
skinfan2k
I love this. Sets up the farm system for another run starting in 2024
Dan T.
Trea Turner is the best shortstop in the game not named Tatis, Jr. If he gets dealt, the return damn sure better be worth it.
bearrock
I don't get the rush to trade Turner. With another year of control, why trade him unless you are absolutely sure that he won't bring back more during the winter? I don't see the LA trade as a deal you can't refuse type of thing.
PleaseBlitz
Im all for starting over and rebuilding if you deal Max, but Riz damn sure better get value.

Then The next tweet says If trade is completed, full package headed to Nationals for Scherzer and Turner Nationals will be C Keibert Ruiz, RHP Josiah Gray and two mid-range prospects, sources tell @TheAthletic. Others reporting Scherzer has given has approval.

A big part of his value is that extra year of control. He's not as valuable if you trade him this time next year. Or over the winter. Ruiz is a nice start for this deal but gotta see who else is in there.
Dan T.
So we're going to dump Turner because we don't think we can afford to sign him a year from now. We're turning into the Pittsburgh Pirates. 1
Spaceman Spiff
Trevor Bauer looking at the Dodgers like ****, they're saying Turner plays 2nd base, Seager at SS when he returns this weekend. That's sick.

If they don't extend Soto I'm out. Sick of never paying our own players except for Strasburg

Maybe it doesn't have to be an either/or situation but if they give Turner a bunch of money and can't extend keep Soto? I dunno, I'd rather have Soto in the end. And you're not turning into the Pirates, thats hyperbole.
