Pilot humiliates eager and 'entitled' passenger who ran to the front before landing

Passengers hailed a pilot who mocked a passenger's bid to be the first off a flight, leaving the eager traveller red-faced.

The encounter was detailed on social media platform Reddit, with one infuriated witness describing how the passenger "unbuckled and darted to the front of the plane to get off first". They added: "She did not make any eye contact and felt that she was special."

It came as other passengers respected the fact the plane was still moving and the seatbelt sign not yet illuminated.

The user recalled how the passenger went from "the very last seat on the plane, down the whole row and past first class, basically standing at the little kitchen thing in the front".

With the seatbelt sign not yet telling passengers to move, concerned flight crew asked the woman to return to her seat, but she ignored the pleas.

The witness detailed that the remainder of the passengers on the eight-hour flight turned their attention to the woman.

The user continued: "Suddenly the captain announced we had a special guest onboard and he will be coming out to greet them after we were settled at the gate.

"The woman stood there awkwardly until we did the whole rolling into the gate thing, and whatever planes do when they land, for about 15 to 20 minutes."

This left everyone on board the flight "waiting to see what the captain was talking about".

The user recalled: "Eventually the captain came out and asked the lady to please move back a little to get to his special guest, then a little more, then a little more.

"He was looking from row to row trying to find a specific person. Everyone is watching and looking around to see who it could be."

Then came the passenger's ultimate humiliation.

As the pilot kept ushering the passenger back, they finally reached the back of the plane.

With the rear of the vehicle in sight, the pilot asked the passenger to "sit for a second while he grabbed the intercom" at the back of the plane.

The witness concluded: "[He said] 'Ladies and gentleman, I'd like to announce our special guest sitting in seat 42C. Lets give her a round of applause'.

Brooklyn women arrested at MIA after kick to Miami-Dade cop’s groin

Two New York women, apparently flying back home, were arrested Wednesday afternoon after assaulting multiple police officers at Miami International Airport, authorities said.

Jecobie Alexandeiada Nevels, 21, of Brooklyn, is facing charges of battery on a police officer, resisting an officer with violence and criminal mischief.

Jaelle Marie Nevels, 19, also of Brooklyn, is facing one count of resisting an officer with violence.

An arrest report doesn’t make clear what relation the two may have.

According to the report, Miami-Dade police officers responded to Gate E-22 at MIA after receiving a call of disruptive passengers on a flight.

According to a flight tracking website, a JetBlue flight at Gate E-22 was scheduled to fly into John F. Kennedy Airport in New York at around the same time the incident took place, but was delayed for nearly two hours.

Authorities said as one officer approached both women after trying to keep them from leaving the area during the investigation, Jaelle Nevels pushed the officer while knocking his hand down.

Police said as Jecobie Nevels pushed past the officer, she tried to exit through a locked door while damaging the lock.

Both women then attempted to go upstairs when they were approached by another responding officer, authorities said.

According to the report. both women started screaming at the officer stating, “We don’t need the police, let us past you.”

Police said both women turned around and began walking down the stairs when Jecobie Nevels grabbed and pushed past police who was trying to stop them from leaving the scene.

As police continued to follow Jecobie Nevels, she then turned around and hit an officer’s arm, the report states.

Authorities said Nevels refused to put her hands behind her back and continued to aggressively resist arrest by flailing her arms and kicking officers.

Police said that one officer was kicked in the groin and was later transported to University of Miami Hospital for further treatment.

Passenger Tried to Storm ****pit After Meltdown Over Menu

A hotheaded businessman allegedly attacked a flight attendant after her “****ty” colleague was not sufficiently deferential while reciting the available meal choices.

That’s according to a criminal complaint reviewed by The Daily Beast, which says American Airlines passenger Robert David Croizat became enraged about halfway through a flight from Barbados to South Florida.

An irate Croizat demanded to speak with the captain of the aircraft about the subpar service he felt he had received, melting down to such a degree that another traveler was moved to overpower the U.K. citizen and force him back to his seat so the plane could land safely, the complaint says.

American Airlines Flight 1192 left Bridgetown for Miami International Airport at 3:53 p.m. on March 8. A little less than two hours into the four-hour journey, Croizat got up out of his seat and “caused a disturbance… by getting out of his assigned seat and approaching flight attendant (“FA”) 1,” according to the complaint.

“Croizat told FA1 he was a ‘****ty’ flight attendant and should have addressed him in a better way when giving him the choices for his meal,” the complaint continues, noting that Croizat was “shouting” at the crewmember.

A proffer statement filed in federal court shows Croizat’s back was up not only “because he believed [FA1] had been rude to him,” but also “to voice his displeasure that only vegetarian meal options were available in the first-class cabin.”

During the confrontation, Croizat said he had had two drinks on the flight.

Twitter Analysis Reveals The Angriest Airports In America

Mickey and Minnie Mouse come across as a happy couple without a care in the world, right? Well, we don’t know what Mickey and Minnie think, but a lot of travelers appear to be unhappy with the Southern California airport that’s closest to the pair’s Los Angeles-area workplace—Disneyland.

Based on Twitter activity, John Wayne Airport in Orange County, California, angers its travelers more than any other U.S. airport. To arrive at that conclusion, Forbes Advisor analyzed more than 37,000 tweets directed at the 60 busiest airports in the U.S. from March 2022 to March 2023. We then used a machine learning tool to analyze the sentiment of each tweet and determine where travelers are most annoyed.

The analysis found that nearly two-thirds (65%) of the tweets aimed at John Wayne Airport could be characterized as “angry.” The words that popped up most in tweets from disgruntled John Wayne Airport travelers were “noise,” “staff, “TSA,” “complaints” and “delayed.”

By comparison, travelers fumed in a lower percentage of tweets targeted at two neighboring airports—Los Angeles International Airport (55%) and Hollywood Burbank Airport (54%).

Elsewhere, Indianapolis International Airport grabbed the award for the least hacked-off air travelers on Twitter, one of the internet’s favorite places to gripe.

A disruptive passenger on a Friday flight from Paris, France, to Detroit, Michigan, is facing criminal charges after his behavior caused the plane to be diverted to Canada, police said.

Ahmed Omar Aden, 34, was acting in an “unruly manner” and was believed to be under the influence of alcohol, according to Royal Canadian Mounted Police spokesperson Cpl. Jolene Garland and court documents.

Aden was arrested by Royal Canadian Mounted Police when the plane landed at the Stephenville Dymond International Airport in Newfoundland, Canada, officials said.

“Double-decker” airline seats being proposed again.

maybe it’s just me but the changes in cabin pressure cause me to fart quite a bit as my body adjusts to the differential. Wouldn’t want to be on the lower tier.

These double-decker airplane cabin concepts could be the future of flying

Airplane seat designers have long been dreaming up innovative economy cabin concepts, looking for the ideal balance between squeezing in as many passengers in as possible, and keeping the experience relatively enjoyable for fliers.

And while the stand-up airplane seats that have been floating around for the past few years have yet to see the light of day, and the airplane seat overhaul that looked to be on the horizon last year in the wake of the pandemic never quite materialized, there are still many designers working to revolutionize the airplane cabin.

Always keeping an eye on the latest updates and innovations is the Crystal Cabin Awards, known for spotlighting the newest trends in airplane interiors.

From stretching out your legs on the bottom section of a multi-level economy seat cabin to curling up in a compartment built into the overheard locker, the nominees offer a glimpse into the potential future of flying.

One of the most intriguing concepts on the Judges' Choice shortlist is the Chaise Longue Economy Seat Project, which envisages a dual-level seat cabin, with each row alternating between on-floor seating, and seats elevated a few meters above ground.

Dual pricing though. Sit in the fart zone for 20 percent off. I think you get some takers.
