I have written TW off.

OL is a young man's game.

Actually, isn't OL the position that generally has the longest longevity in the league?

In any event, we do not have TW's replacement on the roster, and given that next year's OT class rather sucks, he won't be for another year.  I would like to find a developmental diamond in the rough.  Maybe Sprinkle can pack the weight on.  He is 6'5.  :hitfan:

I love the young talent the Skins are developing to go along with Moses and Scherff: Long, Rouillier, Bergstrom, Catalina ... even Koomanjo.

If Nseke is healthy ... Trent is expendable.

What is his cap hit?

I was always leery about you, now I know.

TW expendable?  :rofl89:

I'm wondering if the Skins would start all of their potential returnees at once.  I mean Catelina's release suggests there's some improvement on the OL, but if the Skins play everyone that means they'd be activating five people who've missed games at once and taking away potentially healthy active players.

Trent was great ... but his time has come and gone.

Let's face it.

The future is tomorrow.

When I read a lot of your posts, I'm like 99% convinced that they're totally dripping with sarcasm, but I just can't be sure. Either way, you often make me smile.

If Williams and Nseke are both fit to play could the Redskins go Williams LG and Nseke LT?.

HTTR

I would say that would be an emergency only situation.  The guy is hurt, and that one game last season is the limit of his guard experience.  Unfamiliar movements and having to overthink what he's doing would be bad for him I'd say

Well Kelley was slow to begin with.

im all for trading Reed now. What would we get?

If we lose the next two I think Williams sits for the year

Did Trent play the full game? I had only play by play so i don’t know. Also, there’s no way we lose the next two. One of those is Vs Giants (who lost to an 0-9 team yesterday).

this year's trade deadline has passed.  would have to be done after the start of the 2018 league year.

not sure what we could get for him, probably not much due to his injury history but someone would take the chance - rams perhaps?.  in any event, he's signed through 2021.  contract details are below..  not sure who would want to pick up that contract the way it's currently laid out for an injury-prone TE

Contract Notes

Jordan Reed signed a five year, $46.75 million contract extension wth the Redskins on May 5, 2016. Reed received $22 million in injury guarantees, of wich $14 million is fully guaranteed upon signing. Reed's signing bonus is $9 million and in each year of the contract he can earn up to $250,000 in per game bonuses.

I feel bad for Fat Rob, but he's terrible. He gives it everything he's got, but he's a third string back on most other teams, imo.

Might as well see if Perine can do anything. He showed some flashes yesterday. If he can get over his fumbling, maybe he can raise our running game from "humiliating abomination" to "barely mediocre."

This is awful to say, as I really do appreciate how hard Kelley plays and he seems like a good dude, but I'm mildly relieved he is out for awhile. By no means do I wish injury on him and I hope he recovers quickly, but just in terms of on-the-field and moving forward.... He just isn't a good RB. I am not sure I'd even say he is a good #2 RB... to me, he is a borderline NFL player; maybe a third RB on a roster, especially if you are looking for some goal line push. But overall he is a fringe roster guy to me and certainly not starting caliber.

This will be a good opportunity for Perine. He is more physically gifted than Kelley--- whether or not he is starting caliber remains to be seen as well, but I like that he will get a chance. I think they pretty much have to put Kelley on IR and open up the spot to sign another back.
