Rand Paul Seen on Video Telling Students 'Misinformation Works' and 'Is a Great Tactic'

Senator Rand Paul (R-Ky.) said that "misinformation" could be a "great tactic" during a speech to a group of medical school students in 2013.

In a video shared to Twitter by epidemiologist Eric Feigl-Ding on Wednesday, the Kentucky Republican can be seen telling students that "misinformation works" during an Aug. 22, 2013, lecture at the University of Louisville School of Medicine.

A student asked Paul, who worked as an ophthalmologist for many years before entering politics, for advice on taking a midterm exam. Paul responded by recalling his own college strategy of using misinformation to "trick" fellow students that he viewed as "opponents."

"I never ever cheated and I don't condone cheating, but I would sometimes spread misinformation," the then first-term senator said during the lecture. "And this is a great tactic. Misinformation can be very important."

Paul explained that he and a group of fellow students had once "started spreading the rumor that we knew" what was on an upcoming test, to "try to trick all of our competing students" into studying for the wrong subject.

"That's my advice, misinformation works," said Paul. "So, try to trick your opponents into knowing that the test is about something that it's not."

the dems present a ton of  mess along with their upside while  85-90% of the gop's major elected officials are simply human vermin at this point

it's somewhat analogous to working in a sexual offender ward where none of the problem behaviors are acceptable to 'decent' society but there's still a big diff in toxicity and danger between the habitual flashers and the child pornographers

i think of this when i see any...whatever they want to label themselves...who argue or present relatively pointless crap going in any direction other than making it a 100% lament for the sick sea of garbage their whole wing of the dodo bird has become

don't talk about your admittedly far from ideal neighbor when your household is almost entirely composed of truly toxic ignorant lying pathetic bags of ugly :)

Gosh Glenn.
That's really just too bad.
Here's hoping you die with a plastic tube down your throat.
Quickly, so as to not take up the bed for a person worth saving.

Not to mention, as a black man, he’s probably 3 times more likely to be pulled over , and cited, for minor traffic violations.

This sounds dangerously close to Critical Race Theory, my friend. You better knock it off before I tell Tucker Carlson.

If I were placing bets, it would be that he's taking Ivermectin, Hydroxychloroquine, Colloidal silver, female hormones, and monoclonal antibodies.

I don’t believe he’s really not vaccinated. He doesn’t seem that stupid to me. I believe he’s evil enough to tell people he is for money though.

Either way …….  🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽

This is how bad gerrymandering has royally screwed up the legislative branch of government.  When you look at total votes/voters in favor of one side of the aisle, but it doesn't even end up mattering anymore so we are constantly going to end up with this kind of situation and even worse in the future.

I doubt he’s taking those useless meds either. Just like most gangsta rappers, Grand Oligarch’s Party politicians’ and talking heads’ public personas are fictional. The only other hope we’ve got is that COVID takes out enough of them to impact the election in our favor. Welcome to Weimar 2.0, Muricuh style.

Trump allies have knives out for Sen. Thune as he embarks on re-election bid

Sen. John Thune agonized over running for re-election after clashing with former President Donald Trump, and now a conservative group is polling South Dakota Republicans in a bid to gin up a primary challenger.

Within 48 hours of Thune, R-S.D., announcing his re-election campaign Saturday, the American Potential Fund began polling the state's likely GOP voters. The survey determined Thune could lose a primary by 9 percentage points to Gov. Kristi Noem and could face a spirited challenge from Dusty Johnson, South Dakota’s lesser-known U.S. representative, according to a polling memo, obtained by NBC News, that the political committee circulated to donors and political insiders Thursday.

The South Dakota survey — conducted by one of Trump’s pollsters, Tony Fabrizio — is the latest salvo in the ongoing effort by some in the GOP to purge the party of those seen as insufficiently loyal to the former president. Trump and his allies have successfully encouraged primary challenges to Republican incumbents in states such as Georgia, Wyoming, Michigan and Ohio, particularly targeting members of Congress who voted with Democrats to impeach or convict the former president over his role in the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.

Thune, the No. 2 Senate Republican, inflamed Trump in December 2020 by criticizing the effort of House GOP lawmakers to overturn the results of the presidential election, saying the plan “would go down like a shot dog.”

An infuriated Trump responded by bashing Thune, calling him a "RINO" or “Republican in Name Only,” on Twitter.

“RINO John Thune, ‘Mitch's boy’, should just let it play out. South Dakota doesn't like weakness. He will be primaried in 2022, political career over!!!" Trump wrote.

He also encouraged Noem to run against Thune.
