At first I thought it was just trolling. But let’s call it what it is. A mental disease. A condition that needs to be eradicated. There is no hope for these people. There is no cure. There should be no platform for them to spread their vitriol. It’s foolish to believe that it can be contained within a forgiving system. It’s amazing and cancerous what privilege has given to the weak in this country. So far in to their own troll job that they are too afraid, unable, or are generally far too dim to give it up now. That is until the fight comes to their own front door and they show us what weak and pathetic soulless cowards they really are. We are vilifying our neighbors who share our borders - perhaps the strongest defense that we have. The GOP is giving out ops to foreign terroristic regimes for money. They are outing informants in attempts to prevent any free will. They are trying to start new wars with people who have no interest in fighting, just to help create a perpetual state of war, and a never ending supply of “enemies” to shield the weak and clueless from the strongs from which they hang from. We are witnessing a free nation in Hong Kong fall right before our eyes into a terrifying regime that will surely result in millions of lost lives and millions of lost Allies. Hong Kong is a perfect exactly of what is to come here. It won’t be a take over that you can stop. There is no fight. Only oppression, suppression, and ultimate silence. The system is infiltrated over the course of decades and when the time comes, there will be nothing you can do to stop it. Yet we have so many pathetic fools who think they are clever suckling at the teat of past sacrifices willing to throw away their own humanity because some morons on a particular “team” said look the other way offering nothing but lame pictures and 30 characters. There is no help for them. For the life of me I don’t understand how forums allow this propaganda to infiltrate and spread, as if forum rules are a stronger code of ethics than the health and prosperity of a nation that provides the backbone of free speech and free will. The economy is fine, as it has been since well before Trump was president. Personally, I’ve made incrementally less money each of the last two years and the cherry on top is that my tax burden has also increased by 20% with these new tax cuts. 2. Our relationship with our traditional allies has become adversarial and we now have a president who regularly compliments despots like Korea and Russia. 3. We have a president who is unwilling to admit that our elections are under attack and the chances that he tries to prevent any sort of election meddling are nil. He even welcomes such things. If you’re going to come into these threads with a nonsense talking point and not offer anything other than said nonsense talking point , you’re going to get crushed. These posters are political junkies, and many of them are highly educated. We have lawyers, doctors, academics with phd’s and some of them are actually responsible for studying the topics being discussed at various times. Its biased because one side is currently trash in regards to intellect. Either learn enough about a topic and argue it appropriately, or get crushed and probably banned by a mod for bringing kindergarten arguments to an adult conversation. (Not all of them are that way some are frothing-at-the-mouth liberals who can’t carry a conversation with any better understanding or integrity than the average trump supporter, but plenty of them are that way. Underemployment and wage stagnation are a decades old problem no one is addressing. As is the wealth gap and the various issues it causes. Additionally the entire foundation of the QE program was to roll it back and get debt under control once the economy improved and we’re not doing that. Add to it the current president is using our economy willy-nilly in weird, arbitrary disputes and it’s costing real people real money. And while we all laughed that it was hurting trumps base the most (farmers), we now know we’ve been funding a bailout to them. So, we are paying for that too. I think this idea that the economy is doing well is very short sighted. Additionally we all have pending tax hikes coming unless someone changes something. Our “cut” expires soon enough. Random dishonorable mentions off the top of my head - Siding with Vladimir Putin over U.S. intelligence personnel. - Pulling security clearances of former intelligence chiefs because they dared to criticize him. - Scamming people out of hard-earned money with the false promises of Trump University. - Slurring John McCain and American prisoners of war. - Using the Trump Foundation as a personal slush fund to buy paintings of himself and to pay lawsuit settlements against the Trump Organization,. - Lying about his supposedly humble business beginnings ("Dad gave me a 'small' $1 million loan." He actually got about $422 million in todays dollars from dad.) - Coarsening American political discourse by coining derogatory, middle school-level nicknames against political opponents. - Giving all indications of being a racist ****bag. - Gaslighting the nation. - Lying 10,000 times to the American people since he's been President (and that's not hyperbole.... 10,000 times). Edit: Another one... he concocted the lie that the Trump Tower meeting between Manafort, Junior, Kushner, et. al. and Russians was all about “adoption.” Junior was going to make up some lie, but dad said “I’ll handle this” ... I think his point is that the economy is now magically better now that Trump is president. I think, in very broad terms, it’s simply continuing the climb that it had been on since 2008. Mostly, stock market up and unemployment down. But yes, we are hurting on equality and things that make people’s lives better. Myself included, I’m down on income and up on taxes. Sucks.
