And the sad part is, there are probably other things being done on the border (some good) that are not being reported on. There is modern technology that does a much more efficient job of monitoring activity on the border and helping with illegal border crossings. However, Trump has narrowed down the entire issue of border security to the wall. THAT is the issue. The GOP have a history of finding a wedge issue and bombastizing that narrow view of an issue. With Trump it has never been about "border security" the man wants a wall, regardless of how many times he has been told it is expensive, inefficient, and won't be a deterrent. He doesn't care.
