Will be interesting to see if the league pursues this as strictly as they pursued the Chiefs with Maclin

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2016/09/04/cowboys-had-permission-to-talk-to-mark-sanchez/

It may not sound like much of a violation, but it likewise didn’t sound like much of a violation when the NFL stripped a third-round pick from the Chiefs for talking directly to receiver Jeremy Maclin during the short period of time when communications can occur only with the player’s agent. If the Cowboys get a pass, the Chiefs should be upset. Not because the Cowboys got away with it but because the Chiefs didn’t.

http://www.philly.com/philly/blogs/real-time/Did-Cowboys-break-tampering-rules-by-signing-Mark-Sanchez.html

But according to Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio, the Cowboys face scrutiny from the league for signing Sanchez before his release from the Denver Broncos was officially announced.

If the Cowboys negotiated and signed Sanchez while he was still technically on the Broncos roster, it would be a violation of the league’s tampering rules, which could potentially lead to a fine and/or a loss of draft picks.

Don't worry Reaper, John Mara will take care of that, it's the Cowboys after all!

It wouldn't that big of a thing if it was the Giants though.

Seems like a good time to point out that  in addition to Mara, the Giants now have Coughlin on the competition committee as well.  This will assure that nothing will disrupt the consistent bias we've grown to love and expect over the years.

Fun fact.  The Giants are the only organization with multiple members on the committee.  Coughlin is the exception by being the only member on the committee who is not actively employed by a team (with a very convenient new title) so I'm sure he won't be anything less than TOTALLY objective right?  I mean it's not like he's still hanging around the Giants organization, Certainly not working out every day at the facility, interacting with players and staff members etc.  Yup seems legit.

In case you need another reason to hate the Giants this week and the preferential treatment they receive from the league front offices

Victor Cruz' unsportsmanlike celebration fine is OVERTURNED and recinded by the league:

I think there is always some truth in what the OPer said but I also feel that some of the stuff is also self induced. But I see a lot of calls that normally don't get called by officials get called on us or they see it and either don't call it or they call it and someone totally out of position comes in and overturns it. So I agree that there are a lot of questions about these things but at the end of the day it is about how you perform and do your job that makes the difference. Mara did take advantage of his positional power and screwed both the Redskins and the Cowboys. But if you really want this all to stop. The Head Coach, GM, or President of the Team or all three need to make a stand and tell the players that all of the crap of internal fighting and finger point stops now. That if they don't perform or gets a penalty that cost them from being successful then they will either get benched or fined or both depending on the severity of the penalty. Then back it up. That way you holding them and the team accountable for their actions. It has to apply to everyone without exceptions. That will weed out the "Energy Vampires." They are the ones that suck the energy out of the team. You can then get rid of them and provide a winning culture like in New England and Pittsburg. You don't see those two teams having leaks or bad things happen to them over and over again.

Redskins corner Josh Norman again had to undergo a random drug test for a second consecutive home game, and for the 3rd time in 4 games.  He underwent one two weeks ago after Dallas, drawing his ire – it happened after a loss, too. Today, he still wasn't happy about it but he was in a far better mood thanks to a 31-20 win over Cleveland. "All the ballers get drug-tested I guess," Norman said. Josh Norman's fine for unnecessary roughness in week 3 against the Giants compared to other unnecessary roughness fines from the 2016 season.  His fine is the largest and in most cases 2x4 times larger than the average amount issued for the same offense

Why does Chaz Green get to move early over, and over, and over, and over again?  Not one damn call on an obvious penalty, over, and over, and over, and over.  Just amazing.  Only the Cowboys.  I detest them and their preferential treatment.  At least make it look like you are not treating them "special".  Just flabbergasting. Josh Norman penalized for "Bow and Arrow celebration"

http://ftw.usatoday.com/2016/10/josh-norman-ref-bow-and-arrow-penalty-jeff-triplette-redskins-browns

Brandin Cooks' signature touchdown/ big play celebration is the exact same "Bow and Arrow" gesture.   Here are examples of him doing it all last season, often right in front of a referee. (the first one is actually against the Redskins).  he has never been penalized for it.

Unsurprisingly a Cowturds player, Gregory gets his suspension cut by more than 50%.

Talk about the Turds they got one of the most atrocious roughing the passer calls yesterday at 0-14 which IMO changed their entire game.

Jeff Triplette.

Really, it's all that needs to be said.
the guy is the worst, does not know the rules, throws more flags than anyone for mystery reasons.. ie; Brandon Scherff Holding, Norman PI,..

Worst crew in the NFL by far.

As far as the testing, it's idiotic. No matter what they think he may have done, it won't be out of his system in the morning.
Goodell is a mockery of intelligent management.

Norman gets away with a ton of illegal contact. Matter of fact, he pretty much gets star treatment on most calls.

Yeah I don't know about that one... Think you have just seen a lot of Normans coverage because he is the focal point of our D and receives a lot of slo-mo replays from the broadcast. EVERY SINGLE corner-back in this league gets away with a ton of illegal contact, WR and corners fight for position with their hands almost every play.

Czabe doesn't have a lot right, but he's right about Triplette being completely idiotic.

Goodell is also thin-skinned and clearly read/heard what Norman said about him, the league and the refs, and I'm sure there's some type of edict somehow to at least irritate the guy.
