Official ES Training Camp Tweets feat. DC9 (Super Whatnot Gluton FREE Almond Milk Enriched edition)

Need to add  Keenan Robinson to my watch closely list.  He's coming across like he wants to be the leader in the middle, I like that in an ILB.

For this year, with a couple of reasonable assumptions (Amerson improvement, Robinson can tackle and stay healthy) I think we're stacked on D everywhere starter wise.  RC is a hammer at FS as is Merriweather at SS.  Our big men are all good against the run and we look to have two fast ILBs to go with multiple OLBs who can pass rush.

Lou Spanos or Wobbly Wade at DC and I'd be thinking top 5 was a possibility too.

The TV programme has started, getting giddy for preseason lol.

Washington Redskins 23, New England Patriots 6

1. Operation Showcase Ryan Mallett got off to a slow start for a third straight year. Mallett was not comfortable in the pocket, and not accurate during a 5-of-12 performance. The Patriots didn't score while he was in the game.

2. Rookie Jimmy Garappolo, meanwhile, looked decisive while completing 9-of-13 passes for 157 yards and a second-half score. He threw a few pretty deep balls. It wouldn't be a shock if he passed Mallett on the depth chart this month.

3. The Redskins ran through New England all night, especially rookie Lane Seastrunk, who looked explosive in the second half. RGIII wasn't in the game long enough to draw any conclusions.

4. Colt McCoy lives! His 8-for-9, 102-yard effort should help earn a roster spot.

Yes, "Lane" Seastrunk lol...

I've been listening to 980 this morning. I had forgotten how awful Andy Pollen is.

Yeah, he acts like he discovered sarcasm. He & Czabe were becoming unlistenable the last few years because they came off as sarcastic curmudgeons who scoffed at everything and who liked nothing.

I hate to say this after a brilliant year last year, but the only thing Kai Forbath has holding him a spot on the 53 is his FG accuracy from last year.  One more miss in preseason or a kickoff out of bounds and I see them keeping 4 RBs instead of 2 kickers.

After all, his FGs were impressive in 2013 but they were deflated by the fact that the same leg that kicked those FGs also kicked the ball on kickoff to the 20 yard line and gave other team good field position.  Don't even talk about the horrid tackling, if the opponent knealed down where the ball landed on kickoffs they'd still have better field position then we got lol

I don't think they were ever keeping 2 kickers.  I don't think they used a draft pick on a kickoff specialist.  They could've saved a draft pick and kept John Potter if that's what they were gonna do.

Hocker's either gonna be the kicker or he won't be here.  All he has to do is be steady and match Forbath and he's got the job, IMO.  And after the first game, Forbath's playing from behind now.  Hocker's gotta have a game like Forbath just did for Forbath to get back in it.  And I really like Forbath too, but that was arguably the worst I've seen him since he's been here.

Why Kotwica have bad night? Penalties, missed FG, coverage?

Didn't see game?

Our coverage/tackling was rough on a couple Patriots returns...that's about all I saw.

Kinda had to considering he's got about 400 running backs to evaluate.

Forbath's night = Short kickoff, missed 46 yarder, and a kickoff out of bounds all in one game.  Another 35 yarder hit an upright, but he got a reprieve because of a penalty.
