GhostofSparta
I....I ....have no words..... where did you find a pizza shop in Philly with BBQ sauce not from a plastic container for the rare wing order weirdo? RedskinFeathers
I said no, but I meant no to the thread title. Reading comprehension fail. Then again, I hate ketchup. But I put ranch on pretty much anything, and I still don't put it on cheesesteaks. Lettuce and a lil bit of mayo and I'm set. Or nothing on it. Koolblue13
lettuce tomato raw onion mayo, all these things constitute a cheesesteak Hoagie
Forehead
I misread the question, my answer would be no. Mayo seems the more appropriate condiment.
Koolblue13
this is killing me. I'd take a dirty spiderman from a filthy octopus for a cheesesteak right now.
DCsportsfan53
Should've read the question first, lol. I answered yes to ketchup on cheesesteak NOT yes to it being blasphemous. I'm particular about cheesesteaks, though. I order with bacon, lettuce, tomato, mayo, hot peppers then dip in ketchup as I eat it. Yeah I'm a little off. the burgundy and gold
Definitely yes, I don't know anyone who doesn't get the ketchup. Surprised to see so many ES members saying "no." Maybe its a generational thing haha. Gotta have some ketchup with my philly.

Kosher Ham
Absolutely not. Same as people that put A-1 on a steak. Menas you don't cook it right. A-1 does not taste good. No thanks.

elkabong82
your standard, run of the mill cheesesteak, yeah that's fine. A true Philly cheesesteak, with cheeze whiz, no, ketchup would be gross on that.
Mr. Sinister
You simply cannot put ketchup on a cheese steak. The last time I put ketchup on anything besides fries was probably when I was 4-5 years old, being fed cut up hotdogs. Just the thought of someone vigorously squeezing a bottle of ketchup all over a beautiful cheesesteak, with cruel (unbeknownst to them) intentions, make smy stomach turn. All it's going to taste like is a big ketchup sandwich.
HogNose
Wow 30 people like to put ketchup on their cheese steaks? Thought the poll results would be reversed. I can't imagine destroying a cheese steak like that. :puke:
