WP: Malcolm Kelly injures hamstring at Donovan McNabb's 'Hell Week'

Usually when a player injures a hammy in the offseason it's due to a lack of preparation. Maybe he wasn't in shape or didn't stretch much? Either way it's not a major setback. He'll be ok in time to play in pre-season games and he'll impress the coaching staff then...

OR

He'll sit out most of training camp and pre-season due to injury just like last season and it'll become even more apparent that Vinny sucks at selecting players in the draft.

Man this guy can't catch a break with injuries he's just constantly hurt.

he can't catch a break... or a touchdown.

i dont think he gets cut, but i do think this is a make it or break it year. if he doesnt get on the field and produce, i dont see him on this squad a year from now. hopefully he can step it up and do work on the field. he's got the talent.... we just need to see it in action.

Why is everyone so ridiculous about Kelly? He's a talented young guy. He hurt his hammy, every receiver does at some point. Everything the current coaching staff has had to say has been positive. The article says he and McCardell have really bonded and Kelly has improved on his biggest weakness. So anyone saying Kelly is going to be cut is out of their minds. I wouldn't be surprised to see him starting.

We need Mr Mioghee to do that fast hands rubbing and heal Kelly Son's hamstring so he can finish the fight vs Johnny of the Cobra KI dough-jo....the Karate Comb.

Even if Kelly-san "look eye" and does his wax on, wax off he might just lack the Chi to advance.

Shame. He just can't shake off injuries. Though Thomas has also had his fair share of hamstring issues too. Why do our WRs always suffer from hamstring injuries? Didn't we bring in some specialist 2-3 years ago to address it with better stretching practices or something? (I know Kelly didn't get injured after Redskins-authorized warmups, but still...)

Moss has a history of hammy issues. We haven't cut him yet. ;)

I'm not too worried about a hamstring issue. Kelly doesn't rely on his speed the way Moss does.

Provided the staff does a good job of attending to him, medically speaking, I think he should be ok to workout during camp.
