  1. I would estimate around 250.00 or so. maybe a little more depending on the model you get. they put it on the back side of the house, not facing the street. it will help. Also make sure she keeps her door open when she isnt in the room so ther can be that air exchange coming from the hallway.
  2. There are thermostatically controlled dampers that can be installed to re-route cooler air to your daughters room.. Her room is upstairs, on the sunny side of the house, probably on a corner of the house? There are a ton of companies that offer similer products. get multiple estimates if this is the way you go. http://zonefirst.com/ Another option is to get an attic fan cut into your roof or gable if you do not have one. Attic fans are really a goo investiment into your home because it exchanges the air in your attic (depending on the unit) about 20 times an hour or so, dropping the temp in the upstairs considerably in the summer. The also help prevent mold by keeping air circulating in your attic while preventing condensation from building on beams. It is a cheaper alternative to Zoning, and it really is a worth while product to purchase. It will also help out your ac system by helping reduce temps and in turn taking a little stress off your unit. If you have any questions let me know. I used to work HVAC for a number of years and I still do it on the side as a hobby. Im ripping out my gas furnace/AC this summer and putting in a duel fuel gas furnace/AC system in my own place.
  3. Saw this article today... looks like Russia doesnt agree with NK's actions either. http://www.cnn.com/2013/04/10/world/asia/koreas-tensions/index.html?hpt=hp_t2 Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Wednesday told CNN that despite being an ally of North Korea, it stands with the United States. "On North Korea, we have no differences with the United States. One just shouldn't scare anyone with military maneuvers and there's a chance things might calm down," he said.
  4. If NK does provoke war with SK and the United States... where would China stand on this? They have already come out and said they condemn the actions of the North, but if it came to blows....?
  5. A lot of people dont know about this series because its a Crackle.com exclusive right now. Its called "Chosen" and this series has a galloping pace from the first scene. Its great, and has a great cast of actors. The guy who played Peter Patrelli in the show Hero's (Milo Ventimiglia) is the shows main charactor. Go on Crackle.com and see for yourself. It has the quality of an HBO series. Here is a trailer or two. http://www.crackle.com/c/Chosen/Extended_Trailer/2488562 the second trailer has interviews with the cast. http://www.crackle.com/c/Why_It_Crackles/Chosen/2488638 Also, have you checked out that new series "Vikings"? on the History channel? Very good as well. http://www.crackle.com/c/Why_It_Crackles/Vikings/2488933
  6. "Chosen" on Crackle (first six or seven episodes are out now) and I'm pretty partial to Game of Thrones.
  7. If you have a multimeter, take the T-stat off the wall and check to see if you are getting 24 volts. If not, there is a break or short in your wire going to the T-stat. The wires run directly to the motherboard of your AC/Gas furnace. (usually found right in front of the blower housing when you take the bottom panal of the unit off) Check for a loose connection there too. Its one of those two issues. If you are getting 24 volts at the T-stat, then you would want to replace the T-stat. Honeywell is a decent brand, depending on the model. (like most pieces of equipment.)
  8. Ok, Im having an electrical issue. A few months ago my fan stopped working, unless it was on high. Only works on high. Last night i had my lights and the radio on as I drive. I turned my fan on for a minute to help cool the cabin (no ac, just fan... on high) and all of a sudden my emergency break light, and battery light on the dashboard come on, and I can smell an electrical burning smell... but then I turned my fan off, and both lights turned off, and the smell stopped. Any insight would be seen as a huge commodity.
  9. Caught a fifty pound Wahoo just east... i think, of pigeon island. My father in law is a Master Diver and he loves St. Lucia bc of the visibility and gentle current of the water. He says it is much better diving then the atlantic side, Im learning to dive so i cango out with them as well. Not a beer, but did any of you guys try the Chairmans Rum from St. Lucia while you were there?
  10. I never thought of the handling intransport... very good point. As far as vacation mode goes, you might be on to something, but i just loved the taste of the Petons. It might be because they are more directly from the brewery then beer we get state side (for the most part) but yeah vacation mode may play a role. Drop me an email if you ever plan on going back. I can defget you a break on my father in laws place.
  11. My father in law brings a bunch of the barons back with him every time he goes. They have a 3 bedroom 3 full bath condo in Marigot Bay that they rent out. I love that hot sauce myself. Id see little kids on the street drinking the Peton Shady drinks (like a Mikes hard Lemonade, but not as much alcohol) If anyone wants to take a vacation down there, send me a PM and I can get you an awesome, awesome deal on the Pelican House, in Marigot Bay. (My father in laws house) Google "Pelican House, St. Lucia and PM me if it interests you. But yeah, love drinking a cold Peton on the beach.
  12. I got married in St. Lucia in Jan, had "Peton" beer. Loved it! Double, have you ever had one? They don't export them to America due to cost, but you can get them shipped.
