Good, Joe is a jackass savant. This type of over compensating authoritative pseudo-masculinity is rampant throughout the Tightie Righties. Watching these arrogant jerks pulled off the pedestals they built for themselves is called justice. And justice rightly redifined is establishing balance.

Waiting with bated breath for similar for Sessions.

You and me both. Sessions is a known racist who is wasting no time in ruining any progress made in police and justice system reform.

Former Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio found guilty of criminal contempt

(CNN)The lawman who once boasted he was "America's toughest sheriff," could find himself behind bars after a federal judge found him guilty of criminal contempt on Monday.

Former Maricopa County, Arizona, Sheriff Joe Arpaio was accused of violating a court order in a racial profiling case by continuing patrols targeting immigrants. US District Court Judge Susan Bolton handed down her verdict in court papers signed on Monday.

Bolton wrote that Arpaio knew of the court order and what it meant for his department's policy of detaining immigrants to turn them over to federal immigration authorities. But the evidence showed "a flagrant disregard" for the order, Bolton wrote.

"Not only did defendant abdicate responsibility, he announced to the world and to his subordinates that he was going to continue business as usual no matter who said otherwise," Bolton wrote.

Arpaio has contended the order wasn't clear and he didn't intend to violate it. Arpaio's defense attorney has argued that Arpaio's former attorney "dropped the ball" and didn't clearly explain the order or seek clarification from the federal judge who issued it.

Federal prosecutors alleged his defiance was deliberate, and something he believed he could get away with.

The 85-year-old could face up to six months in jail when he is sentenced on October 5.

His defense was weak. The previous order was written clearly and he said he understood it. He certainly deserves to be found guilty. He's contemptible.

He knew exactly what he was doing, and playing dumb at this point just makes this all the more sweet. He arrogantly flaunted EVERYONE who told him it was illegal, now he has to play stupid. That's rich

Except not all the other sheriffs were profiling their citizens as well, just Joe.

I'm sure not all the other cabinet members were behaving like her either.

Lock em both up....together.:silly:

It must be really hard for you to see personal and right wing hero Joe Arpaio become a convicted criminal.

Seems to be a trend these days amongst the right. Lawless goons. Or pedophiles and sexual perverts.

This is a great example of how the game is fixed in favor of the powerful. Consider what he's accused of doing and how many suffered because of it, and then take a look at what he can actually be charged with and what the max punishment is.  Ridiculous.

In a thread about Ex-Sheriff Arpaio you post this?

Not sure how this contributes to the quality of the board or qualifies as substantive content in this thread.

Jail and a big fat fine sound good. They only things they value is their own personal freedom and their money. Make them serve at least a year and a day and take away their voting rights. Make their crimes felonies just like they did to black people.

We need to start making it hurt for white collar criminals.
