It was more about the route Sam thought Terry was going to take but it was not. If they were on the same page then that was a catch.

The incomplete on 2nd down to McLaurin, he was a tad late to the throw.  

 

Those are fair criticisms.

 

That said, you can also say he has executed everything else really well.  

 

He's playing very well, on the whole, but has made a few bad plays.  Because he's a QB learning in his 7th game.

Making observations of misses is not bashing. Saying sam is the problem is bashing

He’s doing great except for two plays so far.

 

1. The sack on the previous drive where he needed to get rid of the ball with good protection or run up the middle of the defense. 

 

2. That poor throw to an open McLaurin just now on 3rd and long. That was there for the taking and I have to give McLaurin the benefit of the doubt that he ran the correct route. 
 

Those are unfortunately two high-leverage situations with poor plays. With this defense, we have to score TDs so those errors are going to have an outsized effect unfortunately. So much weight shouldn’t be on his shoulders, but it is.
