One thing that sucks for this case is that the next court appearance isn't scheduled unitl early December, for god's sake.  In the meantime, we have to listen to his crackpot spin, invective and grievance for 8 ****ing months.  While, of course, the DA and the judge can't say anything to rebut.

The judge could slap a gag order on him.

In any event, 8 months of Trump talking about his personal legal problems isn't going to win him any new voters.  So better that than him actually discussing how he'd solve voter's problems like, you know, a smart candidate would be doing.

Whatever happened to the right to a speedy trial?  That timetable is nuts.

It's Trump right to invoke.  He hasn't invoked it because his lawyers just found out what the charges are, and now they need time to assess the facts and formulate their defense, which takes time in all cases, and is going to take a ton of time given the stakes here.  Additionally, in the meantime, there will be motions to dismiss some of the charges before they even get to trial and otherwise make administrative determinations like what evidence is admissible at trial.  There are going to be a lot of those since Trump is a unique defendant given that he is the only former President ever to be charged with a crime and is also a current candidate for the presidency.

More like 325.

Fwiw Trump was also listed at 6'3 239 back in 2018 according to his lying doctor and now lying Congressmen Ronny Jackson.

Right. No way he's under 300 right now. His loose-fitting suits aren't making him look leaner. Without his amphetamines, I doubt he could walk 100 yards or up a few flights of steps at his age + weight.

Republicans are still really bad at choosing what music to use without permission.

There has to be someone on the inside doing it intentionally. No way you make that many happy accidents on luck alone.

I believe we have another case against Trump going to court before the end of April...so we'll have other opportunities to see his bloated ass marched into a courtroom between now and December.

They’re just trolling.

Honestly, I’d watch a trump intro if he came out to Bawitdaba with a little person and some flame spitting carnies.

Trump wants to sit out his next court appearance. The judge presiding over his case says all defendants have to show up and he's no different.

Former President Donald Trump's lawyer asked the judge overseeing his Manhattan criminal case during Tuesday's arraignment if he really needs to come to New York again for the next hearing.

New York Supreme Court Justice Juan Merchan told the Trump lawyers that he expects that "all other defendants to appear in court, even high profile defendants" and would not be making an exception for the former president.
