My favorite sandwich in terms of a specific item at a specific place is the Nashville Hot Chicken Sammy at The Rub in Alx.

Sausage sliced in half lengthwise, two slices of cheese, cut in half and covering the sausage, place on croissant, toast open face in oven.  Add over well egg, sliced onion, and lettuce, close and enjoy.

I checked and they sell those ice cream sandwiches at our local place, that is pretty much an extension of the local farmers market.  I’ve already called to ask which flavors they have, they’ve got classic, Cookie Monster, chocolate blackout, strawberry shortcake, and orange dreamcicle.  I’m legit about to hop in the car and go pick some up.

That wasn’t the ice cream sandwich I grew up with.  That $7 Cookie Monster ice cream sandwich is worth every penny.  It feels like the result of some stoner chef/baker that got high af one night and went on a mission to make elite ice cream sandwiches.
