Welcome To The Washington Commanders Brian Robinson RB Alabama

Great pick!

If you watch him, I like the fact that he’s always leaning forward, he’s a true running back, not a converted wideout. I also like that he has quick feet at the line maybe slower top end speed but it would be nice to see us getting the tough 2-3 yards.

I hope he gets the majority of rushing carries over Gibson.

I’ll admit, i didnt either. Explain please? :)

It was about our first round pick this year Josh Dotson...or maybe the DT we almost picked, Alfred Gainsworth....

Ok, so I misspelled Darius Bryce...

From his NFL.com draft profile, "Robinson has freight train potential against...defenders..."

We got us a running back with a bad ass nickname boys.

If I take a big puff, hold it in for a bit, and close my eyes super tight, I can just barely make out the sound of the  radio announcers next season...

"Freight Train Robinson rolls right through the  d-ine for another fourth down conversion to close out the game. Woo woo! All aboard the freight train y'all. Woo woo! Next stop the playoffs, all points north and beyond!"

Freight trains aint pretty things to look at but when they get to rolling you don't want to get in their way.

Freight Train Robinson-- offensive rookie of the year and Super Bowl MVP.

He and "Twinkle Toes" Gibson will make quite a tandem.

To skip a LB or DB at this spot, he better have a big year.

At the point you turn Gibson into the alternate, Im not sure I see too much point for both Gibson and McKissic.

You can work Robinson and Gibson in a 1-2 punch fashion like Chubb and Hunt. The league has moved to more tandem RB situations. McKissic can still be the 3rd down specialist, plus you have depth for the inevitable injuries that strike.  You also have flexibility to flex Gibson out to slot sometimes.

Great pick.

My issue with this draft is there js legitimately still no effing linebacker. Not one in free agency and all the good ones are taken. We drafted a player that we could of gotten either later...similar production in a free agent such as star lutelele...or another prospect. So I assume we gonna resign Collins back maybe. But wtf.

Great pick.

The way that Turner likes to use motion and deception presnap, really opens things up for Gibson, when we have another legit RB.

Imagine a formation with McLaurin, Dotson, and Samuel at WR and Robinson and Gibson in the backfield. The defense counters by putting a lot of their speed guys in. We motion Gibson out wide. If a LB follows him, we can either throw a screen or short slant type route to Gibby who should win that matchup, or if the D is particularly light(maybe they go dime) we can pound Robinson against a weak front.

Then there are other possibilities with two TE fronts with Thomas and Bates. And we haven't even factored in Brown's deep ball ability with a QB that can actually get it to him.

Assuming reasonable health, no more excuses for Scotty Turner. I haven't been hard on him like others have, I think overall he's done a fine job considering the severe lack of talent on the offensive side of the ball, but he might finally have some toys to work with now.

A bunch of deep play WRs, with a big armed QB, to go with a pounding RB and guys who win the short intermediate stuff like Bates, Curtis, Thomas, McKissic and Gibby.

Should be able to keep teams in 2 deep sets and have plenty of room to attack underneath and make them pay when they don't.

On paper adding another Terry like WR, power back and a legit QB should really transform our offense.

Gibson is our tallest WR now isn’t he? Only kinda joking. I think this staff always wanted Gibson as a more joker role. They definitely want someone to play that position. If not him then that other WR I have never seen play before. Robinson gives him the freedom to line up at WR much more often and get all that talent on the field at one time…..I would think. But who the **** knows honestly.

And he doesn’t have to worry about fumbling thru contact at the line if he’s out there catching passes like Debo.

he can revert back to his hazardous carrying style.  😂
