They probably assumed being just a dime a dozen gap plugger and not a pass rushing athlete and also being a rookie that he'd make it to their practice squad. They were wrong. I thought Jeter looked like a pig on roller skates, he wasn't close to being ready to play nfl football much less for a team he's been with all of ten minutes. I think the reason he's available is because he's really a Center only, so if he's not starting; he's not really a good backup. I think Martinez would make an immediate impact on the defense. I read where Ridgeway only has one year of college football experience but has a very high upside....saw multiple comments from Cowboy fans who are not happy he was waived and that we scooped him up.
