So, why did the Cowboys REALLY let Ridgeway go? Sorry, gotta be cynical nowadays.

I was thinking the same thing but the truth is sometimes very difficult decisions have to be made in the nfl.

I believe it had something to do with not wanting to put dak on the i.r. and needing a roster spot.

They probably assumed being just a dime a dozen gap plugger and not a pass rushing athlete and also being a rookie that he'd make it to their practice squad.

They were wrong.

The fact that multiple teams put in claims is a good sign.

How do you feel about Donovan Jeter? Which of these two is supposed to take on Mathis' spot?

I thought Jeter looked like a pig on roller skates, he wasn't close to being ready to play nfl football much less for a team he's been with all of ten minutes.

At least this new guy has some pedigree, a 5th round pick who made an nfl roster after camp.

Flowers has made a ton of money. He strikes me as a guy that doesn’t love the game. Probably doesn’t want to play unless it is a certain $ amount

I dont know if that's fair about not loving football.  Other than not being a good tackle, there's nothing to suggest he doesn't love football.  Shouldn't put that on him.

The Commanders website has a pic of an enthusiastic Jeter during pregame warmups Sunday proudly sporting his custom made burgundy and gold football skates.

He thought the skates would help him to get to the QB faster but he didn't expect opposing linemen to just effortlessly push him away instead.

Jack DelRio is expected to single out Jeter's poor skating technique for the defense's collapse when he speaks to the press later in the week.

I think its clear neither Martinez nor JPP are going to make a meaningful difference to our D at this juncture.

I think Martinez would make an immediate impact on the defense.

Problem is he’d be on the field over Holcomb and our HC/DC seem intent on making sure he continues to play despite him playing poorly.

I think Ron thinks he's smarter than he is.

Isn't Matt Araiza the "punt god" who was cut by the Bills because he's under investigation for, to put it delicately, group sexual assualt/rape of a 17 year old while in college?

I read where Ridgeway only has one year of college football experience but has a very high upside....saw multiple comments from Cowboy fans who are not happy he was waived and that we scooped him up. Hopefully we can coach this kid up and make something out of him.
