Your holiday will now service the Xmas.  Resistance is futile.  You will be assimilated.

I'm about to start a war on Christmas if mother****ers are going to keep putting out Christmas displays in December.  If they start meshing Christmas and back to school **** in August, it's going to get real dark around here.

This is the horror these eternal Christmas monsters want. They will come for Halloween next.

I'm trying to figure out a way to make Christmas taking over Thanksgiving as being an attack on Christians, somehow. It's the only way to slow it down. Something about commercialism vs. family and faith, I'm sure, but I doubt it would get traction with the people whose true religion is Capitalism and not Christianity.

The Christmas Tree (just the one) goes up usually the weekend before Christmas Day and stays up until January 5.

Santa Stars in Gay Love Story in Postal Service Christmas Ad

norway-ad.jpg

Forget Hallmark, Netflix, and Hulu — this year’s most romantic and moving Christmas love story is coming to you courtesy of Norway’s postal service. Yes, you read that right.

For the past two years, it has been producing holiday advertisements that have quickly become a beloved part of the country’s Christmas season, and this year’s entry may end up making it one of yours as well.

The nearly four-minute ad, titled When Harry Met Santa, plays more like a short film. It begins with one man’s chance encounter with Saint Nick, and the two have an instant spark. The ad then follows their growing connection over subsequent holidays.

At one visit, Santa tells Harry, “You snore. I’ll be back next year,” according to Queerty. Then the next year, Santa tells him, “I’ve got many gifts to deliver. I’ll be back next year. Do I look nice?”

The ad keeps building to when Harry confesses his feelings — via a note to the North Pole, naturally — and Santa being able to spend more quality time with him, thanks to the postal service. And there’s a kiss.

While there are (sadly) no subtitles, the meaning and sentiment are very clear.

The caption at the end says, “In 2022, it will be 50 years since it became legal to love whomever you want in Norway.”

After Texas conservative attacks book about a Black gay Santa and his husband, commenters rally: ‘If this upsets you, you’re the problem’

A Texas politician apparently looking to rally hate when she blasted an LGBTQ-friendly book about Santa Claus on Facebook was instead blindsided love — for the book, from open-minded commenters.

The Nov. 21 post, from Ellen Troxclair, a former Austin City Council member and self-dubbed "proven conservative" who is now running for a Republican seat in the Texas House, included a photo of the 2017 book Santa’s Husband by Daniel Kibblesmith, which was displayed at her local bookstore. Alongside it, she wrote, “You can no longer walk though the Christmas children’s section of a bookstore with your kids without being bombarded with inappropriate content, featured by staff who want to ‘make people’ read it."

She continued, “What is the leftist obsession with sexualizing children’s content? And Why does there have to be a leftist agenda to EVERYTHING everywhere all the time?”

But things didn't exactly turn out the way Troxclair may have hoped.

Instead, she was met with an army of Santa's Husband allies.

“If this was a book about Mrs. Claus titled ‘Santa's Wife,’ would you still consider it ‘sexualized?’” asked one commenter.

“What’s with the right wingers obsession with sexualizing LGBTQ+ relationships? Grow up,” another added. “If you see any kind of relationship and immediately see the potential sexual aspect of it rather than the romantic/partnership aspect, then you’re emotionally and morally stunted.”

Further comments blasted:

“If this upsets you, you're the problem. This is America, freedom of speech lady."

I very seriously doubt that Santa & his partner were "sexualized" in the book, I would assume (yes, I know what that means) that it's explained that Santa "loves" someone.

(And I would hope it's explained that it doesn't matter WHO Santa loves, just that he's lucky to have found it.)
