How many production cars can go that fast?

Most cap out somewhere around 120-140.

but. That doesn’t mean things can’t be done to them to make them go faster. Especially for research/testing.

they do it for police (although idk what they cap out at)

Who is ever driving 120, 160, 200 and 260 mph unless you're in a race car?

For 120, I would say idiot teenagers and, evidently, @tshile.  Probably @TradeTheBeal!too, in his ****ing Miatas.

Still, I think the point is just to watch a car get destroyed, which is kinda neat.

Also a 20010ish Audi a1 manual tops out at about 115mph, and shakes so much it feels like it’s going to disintegrate any moment and  causes your wife to **** herself

on the autobahn this gives you the effect of standing still while all the non ****ty cars wiz by you.

(we were broke and I was stupid and didn’t think- hey, I should spend the extra $ for the one time in my life I’m here and NOT GET THE ****TIEST CAR EVER)

A 1994 Geo Metro manual 2 door tops out at about 105.

Did you know they were actually Isuzus?  I had to get an alternator replaced twice before they figured out that the Japanese manual didn't match the American one and it was a 38-cent piece of wire between the battery and the alternator.  (1987 Spectrum, sold as a Chevy).
