Command The 414
After seeing the crowd at the Boys, Bears & yesterday’s game a new stadium would be the worse thing that could happen to this fan base . Im 1 of the stupid people that continue to renew my season tickets (sorry but being a skins fan is all I know) shoot I couldn’t even sell my Bears tickets for way below face value .... if and when a new Stadium deal is struck you know darn well that Synder will put those PSL’s in place and the regular everyday blue collar worker will be priced out so what we have seen here lately as far as fans of opposing teams taking over it will be twice as bad imho when a new stadium comes calling hopefully that doesn’t get done or if and when it does Allen is gone from the FO But I’m sure your right and that’s the truth and it will happen

DC officials would be stupid to let him build a stadium there. He will sell if he cannot build in DC, MD, or VA. Even if fans boycott and do not go to the new stadium he will still make profit from tv revenue. He wins as long as he can get it built. He can do concerts and other activities in the off season. He will profit big time. He does not care if half the fan base checks out on him. He can raise beer, hot dog, parking prices etc. for the die hard fans and out of state fans and opposing fans who do show up. I have no doubt that you are on the mark with this...but kind of flies in the face of the constant stuff that Dan just wants to win so bad. Thankfully I wised up to that farce a long time ago and am simply indifferent to the team these days. Not so long ago I had the passion for the team as much as anyone but now I check in on the soap opera here and there and then check back out when I see its the same ole stuff. The game day experience at FedEx Field confirms that I am not alone in my sentiment.

Howie411
at the rate we are going I don't think DC,VA or MD will want to give land to the Redskins to build a new stadium if only opposing fans will be going to it. Soon it will be "We are here in lovely West Virgnia not "far" from our Nations Capital.......

HailSkins90
Heard a credible rumor from our "Skins guy" at my office in Sterling today that Bruce is trying to put his house on the market. He's been right about stuff in the past. Here's hoping. Also, not a penny of taxpayer money for a stadium. Football won't exist like it does today in 20-25 years, I can't think of a worse "investment" for a municipality to make.

spjunkies
I seriously doubt it,the dummy could be a minority owner without making idiotic personnel decisions. The FedEx guy owns part of the team and doesn't do ****.

But I still have to wonder what connections Allen has that Snyder doesn't already. Do they really believe people are 'pining' for the good ol' days when his dad coached the team? He left the Skins 41 years ago in 1978. His brother is no longer in politics, and they've made NO progress on getting a stadium deal in MD, DC, or VA. What exactly do they think will change over the next 7 years?? I disagree with others who say Dan will sell if he can't get a stadium built. How many NFL owners have done that? None, they all moved their teams. Say hello to the Oakland/San Diego/St Louis/San Antonio/London Redskins.

I'd love it if Snyder packed up and left for San Diego, he could park his yacht at the marina and be some other cities problem and DC would get an expansion franchise! I'd help him load the truck for free. Screw my bad back and back surgery last summer, I'm going carry boxes for the team! 15 minutes ago, FrFan said: He has a compromising video of Danny boy I don't buy it because what could be more embarrassing than all this losing? studzmckenzie
Actually, the RFK site might be the best site, after all, given the attendance patterns at FedEx Field the last several years. Look at the Los Angeles Chargers, playing in tiny StubHub Center. This might be where the NFL is headed.

I've never seen a GM with such a bad record, blatantly lying so much in front of the medias, disrespecting the fans like that, and still be in charge after a decade. We're the only team to play 16 away games in a season, this jerk beats Vinny in all categories. He's bullet proof, and acts like he"s the owner. Snyder kept Vinny for years, too, simply because Dan liked having him around. Dan doesn't need to hand the keys of his organization to the brother of a former senator who hasn't seen office in 12 years. Snyder owns a professional football team, the local politicians would flock to him regardless. As an example, Muriel Bowser is practically begging him to bring the Redskins back to D.C. -- he doesn't need Bruce to cultivate any relationship with her. The governors of both Maryland and Virginia have lobbied their interest to Snyder. Why the F does he need Bruce? To help navigate him through the treacherous arena that is Washington politics? Did Jerry Jones or Zygi Wilf have to make Kay Hutchison or Amy klobuchar's ****ing dumb*** brother the team president to get their new stadiums up??? Why is Bruce really here??? I was going to post something like this, but this said it better. I just want to reiterate the last sentence. "Why is Bruce really here???" like really, WHY IS BRUCE REALLY HERE??? In fact DC would require a name change and there is no negotiating on that. So unless Dan changes the name not in DC. Also, I saw several reports that while MD would like the stadium and have worked some to get land next to the casino near Oxen Hill, Gov Hogan has stated emphatically that he will not support any tax payer %s to be used for a "billionaires" stadium. I am honestly not sure about VA. They may be the only left standing. Bidding against themselves does not bode well for the Redskins. My point is i do not think there is a widespread clamoring for a new stadium that many think there is. Where I do agree is why Bruce? He is about as useless and even a negative as i have seen. Not sure why dan sees him as anything positive at this point.

Not sure why dan sees him as anything positive at this point. The Governor of Maryland at least publicly said he is out. The current governor of Virginia supposedly has no interest. The previous Governor was hopped up about wanting it but Bruce-Dan failed to capitalize on that timing which has been a theme thus far. The interior secretary in the US government was an ally and was poised to help push the federal government to essentially pass a waiver so DC can build commercial property around the RFK site -- but he is gone, too. They supposedly put all the eggs in the baskets of Republicans in Congress but didn't capitalize on it quick enough and scrambled in late 2018 when the Democrats took over when they tried to get an amendment in the budget to get that waiver. But they didn't pass it. Liz Clark who has followed all of this for the WP has said they are in trouble. Ditto Rick Snide who is the other guy that seems to be following closely. JP Finlay though thinks they are close but hasn't giving any detail on it. So I don't know. Bruce said months ago that it will be a year before they have an announcement. From what I've personally witnessed in South Florida including working with someone who was pushing for a stadium -- its not easy to do. The public isn't easy to sell and they typically needs to be sold. Usually though there is a public money aspect to this that makes the sell even more difficult. I don't know if Dan is volunteering to shoulder the whole expense himself. If so, it might be a bit easier. As for Dan not needing Bruce. Well he seems to need Bruce to do everything short of tying his shoes every morning. If you haven't been around the block politically, Bruce probably looks like a genius to him because thanks to his brother he can probably get just about any politician on the phone and can explain the sausage as to how things get passed politically - which I'd bet Dan has no idea about it. And yeah stadiums these days at least don't typically get passed organically without almost no effort from the parities that want it where the politicians just take over it for them and make it happen. There is a reason why from what I've seen most owners hire expensive lobbyists to work it for them. It's good that Bowser wants it but it's unlikely she's going to single handily just make it happen for them. JP Finlay recently said Bruce is here for sure until the stadium is done. The WP reporters, ditto. ditto Loverro. Will see,
