When is a pick play offensive PI and when is it not? That first 3rd down conversion Jones straight up runs into the defender to drive him into Dunbar's lane, leaving Sunau open for the catch. Conn Posted November 4, 2018 Share Posted November 4, 2018 The stats show that running on 2nd and 10 has markedly low efficiency compared to just passing again, but old school NFL coaches almost always run bc they know if it's incomplete they'll have to pass a 3rd time on 3rd and long and then will be accused of abandoning balance. Even though statistics show running on 2nd and 10 is throwing yards away, bad teams still do it more often than not.
