Miami Herald: I’m done trying to understand Trump supporters. Why don’t they try to understand me?

I will never understand why this did not end the campaign

I miss the days when dudes like Howard Dean letting out a cocaine-esque yell was enough to sink a campaign.

I truly believe Trump could openly run a child kidnapping ring, and he'd still scrounge up 40-45% approval

Considering he admitted to walking in the dressing rooms of the Miss Teen America pageant to catch them undressed and his connections to Jeffrey Epstein that's close enough, and should have disqualified him from the presidency, but his followers turn a blind eye.

Uh, I seem to remember something about grabbing kids away from their parents, giving the kids to people who profit from selling them to different parents, and then intentionally "losing" the paperwork about where they went.

It's baffling reading all the tweets from White Supremacist MAGA Trump supporters who are trying to convince people that the KKK is a democratic institution. Who do they think they're fooling? Themselves?

I wish the Southern Strategy was talked more about in grade school to help keep the conversation honest at least.

But the GOP freed the slaves......(and haven't held the WH when we won another war since the late 1800s).

I agree with what you're saying here and hope a lot of States start doing that in their education programs.

Just to put it in context, an even more common trope among those knuckle draggers is the NAZI/Socialist amalgamation.

Here's one Mr. Castro forgot:

...That when he set up a "charity" in his own name, didn't contribute a dime to it for 10 years, yet used the money contributed by others as his own personal slush fund before it was ordered shut down by the State of New York for civil and criminal violations, you thought "I dont care, do you?"

So many Karens...

In some respects one of the saddest aspects is how well these people handle it. I'd be freaked out if someone came out and accosted me like that. She just laughs it off. Let's you know it wasn't the first or fifth time.

Crazy. Awful.

I remember how at the beginning of the Trump Administration, some attempted to chide other posters for painting with such a broad brush and denied that Trump was a racist or that his supporters were and while I can understand the inclination... history has shown badly on all those who wanted to give the GOP the benefit of the doubt. As a whole, they are either actively or passively racist.

There may be a few exceptions, but even those... if they stick with the party deserve at this point to be painted with that broad brush.

I would give it right back to her.  But then, I have a short fuse toward assholes.  And I'm white, so I don't have to stop to consider that people will think my actions are representative of my entire race before I act.

Just saying, watching some of that video, it looks like the confrontation began when the racist wanted to use the stairs, and the filmer told her there were other stairs.

Not saying that justifies the racist threats. Just saying I'm not sure it's a case of "I was walking through the park and a complete stranger just started ordering me out of her country", either.

I dont know if you saw it but there is a video of her walking by initially without issue, then coming back and bumping into the workout lady intentionally to start something. I am that guy who walks through your family picture if you take it in the middle of the damn sidewalk after more than 3 tries so I totally feel the Karen about the workout lady being in the way.

This lady though, like most of them honestly, looks like she wanted to start some **** and got it. Eventually shes gonna run into the wrong cat.

It's transitioned.

There’s a really long but very well written and researched history here of the transition from school segregationists to de-facto school segregation, i.e. “school choice”. This is how these devils operate. They gave up on the specific terminology as long as the end result is the same. That way, it all looks above board to the voters who want to turn a blind eye and the rest of the world that might call us on our BS.

She needs to run up on a sistah like that. It wouldn’t end well for her.

Do you want to rethink your stance given the SAME LADY was filmed in a racist tirade against a different Asian-American (in China's post above).

Note how she says "this is from of my government - go home." Clearly the Donald Trump Era has emboldened her to let her racist freak flag fly.

It hurts my brain to think there are people  like that walking freely among us.  By the way, her California license plate number is 8GMR818.  Not sure if she's been outed yet.  It shouldn't be long.

More on Two-Time Karen from Torrance:

Kayceelyn Salminao, another Torrance resident, said that she was a previous victim of the woman seen ranting in the video.

“I jumped and screamed and said to my husband, ‘This is the lady that attacked me back in October,'” Salminao said of discovering the video on Facebook.

Salminao said she was at the Del Amo mall in October when she heard this woman berating and cursing at a janitor in the restroom for no reason.

She says she told the woman to stop, and the altercation turned physical.

“She comes out and physically shoves me to the ground. I literally fall to the ground, and she points at me and says, ‘You better not get up or else,'” Salminao said. “As she grabs my hair, she pushes my head down and she started to hit me on the back of my head. She’s saying all of those really mean words just like the video.”

She said her husband came in and got the older woman off of her.

“I remember when she was walking down the hallway and she was like, ‘You guys are all going to get it, you guys are all going to f’ing get it,'” Salminao told CBS2/KCAL9.

After the incident, Salminao filed a police report, but she never heard back from investigators. On Thursday, Torrance Police spoke with Salminao about her case and Mayor Patrick Furey said the department is also looking into this incident at Wilson Park.

Now Twitter has put a name to the woman and is saying that the woman has two daughters who are police officers, one with the Torrance P.D. and the other with the Manhattan Beach (CA) P.D.  Haven't seen that confirmed elsewhere so I won't post that.

A Man Has Raised Over $10,000 To Tap-Dance Over His Downstairs MAGA Neighbor And Says He's Donating All Proceeds

A 45-year-old man who lives in an apartment building in downtown Cleveland has raised thousands of dollars after posting a sign on his window as a joke.

When Jett Croisant noticed his downstairs neighbor had put up Trump banners in their window amid all the civil rights protests, he decided to post his own sign. It read, "Venmo @Jet513 and I will tapdance at midnight."

Croisant told BuzzFeed News he "did it for the humor" and "expected to get $3" from anyone who would see his sign IRL. That's until a woman named Amy Ziemak, who lives across the street, took a photo of it and posted it to her Twitter.

Croisant only got one Venmo payment for $4 prior to his sign spreading on social media. Over the past few days, he's watched it grow exponentially. On Monday, he had nearly $6,400 in Venmo transactions from strangers on the internet.

By Tuesday, it grew to well over $10,000.

"At that point, I thought I should probably do something good with the money. I’m going to donate it all to ACLU. (He told BuzzFeed News he'd provide receipts of his donation.)

A woman has even sent Croisant actual tap shoes, that he's currently waiting on, he said.

He's also planning to make the actual tap dancing a bigger production by filming it for everyone who's now pitched in. Whenever the shoes come in, he'll dance and then close the Venmo. He predicts and hopes by end of this week, he told BuzzFeed News.

I'm all for my tax dollars being used to institutionalize all these Karen's and CHUDS. Make Mental Hospitals Great Again.

Been saying it for awhile now. They need to come back. Mental illness is a runaway train in America. Make them. Pump money into them. Help these people, and more importantly,  keep them off the streets
