The world was better without the internet

Love the decision to send a woman to get that story.  Sending a successful young woman into a circle of people that view exactly such women as the source of their torment is that perfect mix of intentionally cruel and easily defensible.

Didn’t he kill himself?  Pretty sure after showing us that bit about him ****ting himself her narrator voice popped in and informed us that they guy later committed suicide.

Mental illness

Clearly.  The guy featured is in the clip can’t function and seems to be crippled by mental illness.  He’s in his early 20s with no job, no school, and sometimes doesn’t even get out of his chair.  He claims to suffer from agoraphobia, social anxiety, and actually believe that muscles and social status is required just to get friends.

He’s also got a terrible creepy nerd laugh, which certainly doesn’t help his situation.

Well, clearly.  But why are we so quick to label certain behaviors as mental illness, while other very similar behaviors are politicized?

The internet has given a microphone to the crazies all around us.  That includes someone like roseanne

I think it was a bit of a failure of vice news to not call that out a little more.  Would hvbe been a good part of the story to have qualified medical professionals weigh in.

These guys really need serious help

On a side note, isnt it just that their standards are too high?  Isnt that any incels problem?  Go to wal mart on the 1st or 15th of the month.  You can have your pick

No idea what any of this means.

I am not defending it either. I think people like him are dangerous as we have seen with other examples.

This was over the weekend in England

As a father of a 17 year old mild introvert who likes video games a lot, that video kind of scares me. Although he has a date with a nice young lady (and pretty to add) this Saturday and she asked him out (which seems so weird to me) so I guess its unfounded.

NSFW due to language... wish he didn't use the F word so much. Anyways, he makes a good point: "be a man and work". I think that applies to a lot of these incels as well as a lot of "not-so-incels" as well. Mental illness is a more complex discussion.

"You don't appreciate rest when you're ****ing off all day."

Joe Rogan is a meathead philosopher.  :806:

He's right though.

Sitting down in my home theater on a Friday night to watch a movie with a captain and coke in hand after I get off of work after a long week of working, working out, doing yardwork, working on side projects, etc, feels really ****ing good.  It feels a lot better than it did before we had our kid and we lived in an apartment and my wife worked every weekend, sometimes until 9pm, where I would basically **** around all day every weekend since I had way less responsibilities.

As I've gotten older I've definitely needed to be "doing something" more than I used to have to, otherwise I feel like I'm wasting time if there is stuff that needs to be done.  But don't get me wrong, I love when I have nothing to do and can relax, but that is just not nearly as often as it used to be, and as he mentions, it feels better now.

Little do they realize ... after a few months of living together they'll be annoyed when she doesn't go out shopping or with her friends, putting off the moment when they can masturbate in private.

Angry Virgin Threatened to Kill ‘as Many Girls as I See’ Near Women’s March

A Colorado man who raged online about his virginity threatened to kill “as many girls as I see,” leading police to fear he was targeting a nearby Women’s March event.

Christopher Cleary, 27, was arrested Saturday after writing a long Facebook diatribe about being a virgin and wanting to become “the next mass shooter.” Cleary told police he was just venting, but he was already on probation from a 2018 conviction for stalking and making a repeated communication of domestic violence. And a series of murderous young men who call themselves “incels” (“involuntarily celibate”) have recently used singledom as an excuse for deadly attacks on women.

Cleary traveled to Provo, Utah and checked into an AirBnB on January 18, the day before the city’s planned Women’s March, according to Denver’s ABC7. Late that night, his Facebook friends started calling police to report a series of threatening posts he allegedly authored.

“All I wanted was a girlfriend, not 1000… not a bunch of hoes,” Cleary allegedly wrote. “I’ve never had a girlfriend before and I’m still a virgin, this is why I’m planning on shooting up a public place soon and being the next mass shooter cause I’m ready to die and all the girls the turned me down is going to make it right by killing as many girls as I see.” He allegedly added that “there’s nothing more dangerous than man ready to die.”

Police traced his phone and arrested him the morning of the march at a Provo McDonald’s. Cleary told police that he had an impulse disorder, and that he had been upset when he authored the posts, according to police.

Funny story actually. I have lost my virginity and I have killed someone (not necessarily in that order). A day I’ll never forget.

edit: Love you grandpa ☝️🙄
