Think of 8chan as their digital compound. That’s where Q, the 13 year old bored teenager/super secret government agent, reveals hidden truths to modern day superhero’s.

What a depressingly modern take on a cult.  It's members don't need to leave the house or even talk to each other with everything being done via text on screen or youtube.  Where is their sense of adventure?

I'd feel cheated if I joined a cult that didn't have at least a few acres of land or a bunker.  That's like attending an online college, it's just not the same.

They do gather at Trump rallies. One of the last few Trump rallies even featured a Q shout out by one of the opening acts.

I think they also have live stream events... I have been curious to join one but I also don't want to end up on an FBI watch list lol.

Sometimes I wonder where these people would be without the internet. Would the be semi-normal? Would they be this ****ed up, but quietly because of no access to others like themselves. Would they even have survived this long in the world?

As long as they aren't quiet about it now. Some of us will use this to know who to not even consider when they apply for an opening.

My wife has an uncle (her godfather, actually) that she hasn't seen in decades.   he and his family moved to Florida in the 70s, and basically had lost touch (she hadn't seen him since her grandfather's funeral sometime in the early 80's).    Antway... he is in his late 80s or early 90s now, and she tracked down his address and sent him a snail mail letter greeting.

We got a nice letter back from his son, looking to reconnect.    Of course i went to facebook.... and..... he is a total loon.     He posts about 5 public Q-anon posts a day (who KNOWS how much he shares with "friends" only?)    It is SOOOO disheartening.    its like finding out you are related to Mussolini or Carrot-top.    It makes you want to go full Lady MacBeth, and scrub your hands with bleach until you hit bone.

I recently read an Op-Ed from a woman who with her husband were dealing with this about his Parents in Florida. How bad it's gotten. They can't trust the grandparents with the kids because they spend all day talking about Muslims, Abortion, Liberals, Gays, Blacks, etc.

It's ****ty but even Family you have should have a limit with also.

I have a brother in law that seriously keeps an "open mind" on theory that the moon landing was faked.  I didn't know that he was buying in until I mentioned something about the moon landing a few weeks ago during the 50th anniversary stuff:

Me:  "It's amazing what this country was able to accomplish 50 years ago.  Setting the goal to land on the moon and then following through."

Him: "Yeah, and but still haven't been there"

Me: "You're kidding right?"

Him "Nope."

Me:  "Wow."

Him: "If we got there in 1969, why haven't we been back since?"

Me: "We have been.  Something like 5 times."

Him: "No, it was just that one time in 1969."

Me: "No, it was several times through the early 70s.  One astronaut even hit a golf ball on the moon during one of the missions."

Him: "That was Neil Armstrong in 1969."

Me: "No it wasn't."

Him: "Seriously?"

Me: "Yes, seriously."

Him: "Well, those missions were faked too."

Me:  "Even the Russians accepted the fact that we landed on the moon in 1969."

HIm: "Not Putin."

Me: "No, even Putin acknowledges it."

Him: "But Putin is a dictator."

He basically told me that he's a naturally skeptical person.  I didn't want to explain to him that skeptical people don't believe conspiracy theories such as the moon landing hoax.  Anyways, great guy still.  He's a Steelers fan, so he won't read this board.

So it’s a fundraiser for Michael Flynn’s lawyer fees, hosted by QAnon nutters, with guest speeches from two convicted felons and Bill Mitchell. AND they are charging as much as 2500 for tickets, on basically a workshop on ****posting in Twitter. 🤣

We can’t flush this turd movement of grifters and idiots and return to normalcy fast enough.

From the event site (I included the absurd flag because it's free comedy!):

Quote

Rather than debate issues publicly in a free and open forum as supported by the 1st Amendment, Big Tech Socialists hide behind keyboards and clicks to shut down popular Facebook pages, Twitter feeds and PayPal accounts, de-platforming those who dare violate their liberal sensitivities.

To be an outspoken conservative now on social media is to be a pariah. If you’re a patriot and love your country, you’ve been called Nazi, Fascist and White Supremacist. Republicans may control the White House and Senate, but these cubicle cowboys control the Media, Universities, Hollywood and Silicon Valley. Conservative voices are increasingly being banned from the digital public square.

The signal fires are lit, the war drums sounded, we are now in a #DigitalStateOfEmergency.

Patriotic social media warriors will not raise the white flag of surrender in the face of this onslaught. Together we will unite for freedom at the inaugural Digital Soldiers Conference!

We stand in the gap for Constitution and country, we battle for our children and grandchildren. We are the men and women of this moment. We shall not withdraw, we shall not surrender. Cry havoc and let slip the digital dogs of war!

"Patriotic social media warriors"

"digital soldiers"

"Cry havoc and let slip the digital dogs of war!"

"The signal fires are lit, the war drums sounded, we are now in a #DigitalStateOfEmergency. "

I wonder if they will have a tactical typing work shop?  Strategic **** posting?  CapsLocked and Loaded?  hahahaha

That post reminds me of my favorite bit from Colbert.

Context. Newt Gingrich, presidential candidate, has just had his entire campaign staff quit on him. And as the media is asking about it, Gingrich issues a really . . . puzzling . . . press release. Colbert has the release.

For clarification,  theres always been crazy people and conspiracy theories.  Internet is acting like gasoline on the fire helping them find each other and spread their BS a million times faster.  A lie gets around the world faster then the truth can get its pants on, now they got warp drives.

I have become friends, via tailgates and other interests, with several people on this board.  Two in particular are no longer members ( I don't think anyway) but one has a younger brother with severe autism, and he and his entire family are convinced that vaccines were the cause.  The other one was a full on Trump supporter and "**** you libs" type who has gone strangely quiet recently.  Be he used to peddle occasional theories.  My personal favorite was when he questioned the existence of gravity.  That is was something made up by the science community that could be explained by a combination of other things. I can't remember what all it was now because I started going blind reading his arguments with other Facebook friends.  If he was kidding, he was really dedicated to the cause.

Point is, there are some among us here, though they may be silent.
