I thought this was an interesting and ironic excerpt

"This all ultimately seems to explain why House Republicans were so eager to get these memos into the public. It seems as though they thought the memos would prove Comey had illegally leaked classified information and lied about it. It seems as though they were basing this entirely on a bit of contradictory—and likely inaccurate—Fox News reporting. And it seems that this contradictory, likely inaccurate reporting was done by Fox News to help validate this Donald Trump tweet, which was sent two days after Comey’s Senate testimony"

You mean, the Republicans pushed for this, without reading the memos, first?

Isn't that, kinda, you know, contrary to one of the first rules of lawyering?  (Specifically, "Never ask a question that you don't already know the answer to.")

They are so eager to discredit Mueller, Comey, and anyone looking into the entire administration that they rush in. Fools.

Also reminds me of Comey sending the letter to Congress about Wiener's laptop without first examining the contents, thus tanking Clinton's run. The wind went right out of Clinton's sails. Trump was pretty pleased with Comey then.

Mueller:  "Oh, hell.  We proved that months ago.  Now we're working on other things we've found."

Rudy: "Bob, can't we close this investigation out.  Let the President get some closure?"

Mueller: "Sure, Rudy."

*turns to walkie talkie

M: "Hey, it's Mueller, send the Marshalls over."

Trump is probably the most blatantly dishonest President I’ve ever witnessed, and that is saying something.

Trump probably looked at Comey’s unclassified memos then decided to classify certain info in them so he could then say that Comey leaked classified memos.

The most sickening part about this is that 30% of the people WILL believe him, and 10% will defend him even though the know it’s not true. The first ones are just stupid, the second group is just evil.

Why does hiring Rudy help Trump out of the investigation? Wasn't the supposed leaks Comie was investigating before being fired the one that lead Rudy to announce more info coming on Hillary. This announcement forced Comie to announce investigation into Hillary right before election for fear there was a leaker feeding Rudy? It seems like hiring a subject of the investigation to be your lawyer opens up some odd potential conflicts of interest.
