Absolutely nothing matters to hardcore Trump supporters and his Republican enablers in Congress. I think we know that by now. They would hem and haw and offer cowardly milquetoast responses like "hmm...I don't really agree with that", "I find it a bit troubling" or "well, I probably wouldn't have done it" but very few will actually come out and offer full-throated condemnation of him. Denman's situation sounds exactly like what I would expect to hear from someone who was being called as a witness in front of a grand jury, based on my recent experiences.
