Look...regarding the Scherff RT/G speculation.

I have my concerns about him as a RT. I think he can play the position in a pinch, & even play LT if TW hapoens to go down for any reason. From his tape though, i would feel MUCH better with him at RG/LG. Especially if Moses can take over that RT spot, & Long takes the RG spot, then it means we've figured out our OL situation. If he stays at RT, then the LG spot is still Lauvao's, & i'm not enamored with that idea.

All things considered....i will defer to the expertise of the coaching staff....but i will say this; if you put Scherff, & TW on one side of the ball......i feel sorry for the defense when we run that way.

One more thing....if the above were true....can you see the old Counter Trey make a return with the athleticism & nasty in those 2?

I too saw the video and am not convinced yet that the guy in the video is definitively Junior.

It is hard to say based on the vid.  But apparently he posted a picture of himself on the beach with friends around the same time wearing the same shirt, shorts, shoes etc.

Bottom line: If you can get a 27-y.o. double digit sack guy for minimum salary and he’s not Son of Sam, you do it.

DeSean Jackson among those fielding punts for #Redskins today. Was inserted as returner against SF last season.

That guy in No. 58? It's not Ja'Gared Davis, but Junior Galette working out.

Also, from my camp report -- the Redskins plan on playing Robert Griffin III a lot in preseason to get him ready: http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000505453/article/washington-redskins-training-camp-rgiii-showing-improvement

I wouldnt worry about the Sherrif coming inside and becoming an all-pro RG.  If thats the biggest of our worries then we probably win the superbowl this year.  Lets face it, ideally Scherff would be an all-pro RG, Long would take over the LG spot, and Moses would take over RT.  If all 3 played well enough to be good in those spots, that is the pure ideal.  If Scherff stays at RT we still are short one future LG.

The Cowboys drafted Martin knowing he'd most likely play guard, and drafted him in the teens. Scherff was drafted to play RT and drafted in the top 10. Like I said, spin it how you want, but it will be a disappointment if he can't play OT at this level. Would it be the biggest bust ever if he did? Absolutely not. But a negative it would be.

I agree it would be seen as a draft mistake. I just don't care. If he plays like an Pro Bowl guard and Moses is pretty solid at RT, that's still a win in my book. Instead of having **** at one of the guard positions, and stuffing a capable RT behind the other RT just because he was picked higher would be a stupid decision IMO.

I'd rather have as many good players on the field together at the same time as possible. If Moses can play RT and isn't a huge step down from Scherff, and Scherff is a huge step up at one of the guard positions, then do it. You can regret your one day mistake for 10 years of success.

We don't know yet that everyone's not selling his tackle abilities short and that he won't be a hell of a tackle.  All the scouts and draftniks could be wrong.  Wouldn't be the first time.

I don't think they are, they were just moving everyone around a bit. I'm not shocked by it, and I still figure Scherff is going to be our RT.

I watched that Galette video.  It was extremely disturbing to me...

I know it's from 2013, but why can't everyone stop taking videos without the phone tipped horizontally.  These small skinny videos with black on the sides really make me sick.

This post was hilarious when read without the rest.

Some random scout has told Mike Freeman that he believes Griffin is done because people told him Gruden may not like Griffin?

It's probably the same dumb *** scout that said, before the draft, Griffin was going to be terrible because, "He don't treat nobody good". (I think those were the exact words.)

As Gruden said, Galette won't practice with the team today. Instead, he's working off to the side with trainers. #Redskins #RedskinsTalk

Interesting.

I wonder how much "a lot" will be?

That's a good question.  I guess the thing about preseason playing time is if the QB's playing a lot, how much time is he getting with the second string OL before it's too much of a risk.
