DC9
I noticed the same. I assume the stretch is not working very well itself. We got away from it last year, not just this year. I think defenses are attacking our OL as they move laterally very aggressively and so it still comes down to Albert breaking tackles. Most of Jay's PA passes are off of power. DM72
He did seem less flustered out there than Kirk typically does. Exactly. Do you think we win this game if KC is in there?
veteranskinsfan
We need to fix our running game. I heard on tv the announcer say that Morris runs better if you have Young in the backfield like Shanny designed the running attack. Young had a good game today when he was the only running in the backfield. Maybe Gruden will look at using Young in the backfield with Morris to surprise Dallas next Monday Night. clskinsfan
Mike Jones saying Rak has right pec injury and getting MRI tomorrow. here we go. **Gruden confirmed in presser. In all honesty who cares? We are better off without his sorry ass.

Conn
Mitchell college in New London. Was visiting friends at my old college on Long Island this weekend. That's cool, I'm in Boston now, but I'm from that area originally. Griswold, small town kinda near Foxwoods casino. Went to school at ECSU which is also close. alwaysaskin
This was an up and down game, McCoy is one of those game managers, he doesn't make the big mistake, our run game is hurting but that's what happens when teams are daring you to beat them through the air. The O-line needs to be completely rebuilt outside of Trent, and I'm really starting to think the 3-4 has been a complete waste of resources

SkinsFTW
Exactly. Do you think we win this game if KC is in there? The more compelling question is "Do you think we get the #1 overall pick if Kirk is in there?"
Thinking Skins
I'm happy for Colt McCoy, but let's all remember he's the 3rd string QB of a bad team for a reason. Having said that, I don't see any harm in starting him vs. Dallas. KC just doesn't have the intangibles of a winning QB, even though he can throw for a lot of yards and seems super-smart (until he really needs to make a play, then he turns the ball over). As for Orakpo, I think it's time for me to bury my #98 jersey in the backyard. Just not a difference maker and can't stay healthy. I feel kinda bad. I wore an Orakpo Jersey knowing that whoever's Jersey I wear normally gets hurt. List includes Cooley, Moss, and RG3. And he went down
DogofWar1
A win is a win. I will say that I'm glad Gruden made the tough call to pull Kirk. Kirk, quite simply, cannot have a 2nd turnover in a game. After the first, he's "ok," but after the 2nd he just mentally collapses. It's sad, because if he played the way he does when he's got a clean slate all game, even after a turnover or two, he might be able to keep command of the offense even after some things don't go his way. Instead, he isn't perfect, and that leads to mistakes, and then he can't mentally overcome his mistakes. As a result, Colt should be the starter until RGIII is back, which might be as quick as next week if we're lucky. We need Griffin back too. When he's on, teams fear him, fear what he can do, and that helps the whole offense. The OL is simply not good enough to handle the full measure of their job without help, and RGIII's special skillset can be that help. That should help Morris too. I really want to see what this offense is capable of with RGIII, Morris, Reed, Jackson, Garcon, and Roberts all together, with a decent gameplan. Personally I would start Cousins and pull him the minute he throws a stupid INT. Who knows maybe we found the formula to win with two QBs...LOL
justice98
Minus that 70 yard TD, which was really only a 5 yard pass to Garcon, McCoy had 10 completions for only 50 yards. That's not gonna fly normally. Good thing for him he was able to go 10 of 11 and string enough of 'em together to move the ball.
PlayAction
A few weeks of playing for the Skins and every QB begins to look shell shocked. First it was RG3 then KC. I was a Captain Kirk fan but that interception throw to the LB was just awful. I don't fault KC on the fumble-- 1/16 of a second more and that's a forward pass. The rest of the offense didn't help him out much either. But, it was time for him to go. We will see how Colt McCoy does going forward. He was lucky with the pass to Garcon. His pass in the end zone was in the wrong place and allowed for the defender to make a relatively easy play on the ball. I hope he can do enough to engineer another victory or two. I absolutely despise Gannon as an announcer.
Conn
Alfred has always been a nifty runner for a big guy, breaks tackles and finishes runs without getting destroyed (though less so this year on the breaking tackles front). But it's hard to watch Murray and not be jealous of how he absolutely punishes defenders. Especially since I really wanted him that year in the 3rd when he fell, loved him in college. TheItalianStallion
I wasn't impressed with Colt. All he did was not turn the ball over, which was enough for us to eek out a win over a weak team. Then again our pass catchers are dangerous at YAC, so maybe a game manager is all we need. A win is a win, but RZ offense needs to be better.

I hear you, but the skins aren't going to offer a big money contract to Morris - just isn't going to happen. You can get good RBs in the 3rd and 4th, they may want to look this coming year. You can get good RBs in the 3rd and 4th, they may want to look this coming year. Of course not, I'm one of the biggest proponents of letting Morris go after his rookie deal is up. Yes, even if he's asking for a reasonable contract--I don't care. Do not invest cap space in RB's. Always have them on rookie contracts. The difference has been health. Murray has yet to show he can stay healthy for an entire season, while Morris hasn't missed a game, Absolutely. That's a side effect of his violent running style, but it's sure fun to watch and tough to tackle. Even when Morris was on his rookie year tear you didn't get the feeling he was punishing defenses. More of a finesse runner, avoiding big contact at the end of runs and just keeping his legs pumping for extra yardage. And it's worked for him. Just a stylistic preference I have. London Kev
Nah. This kills any controversy because no one thinks McCoy is the answer. But we know Kirk isn't. So that leaves one man for everyone to get behind and place their hope in--Griffin. This game killed the last small undeserved bit of QB controversy this team still had. At least we accomplished something. You are talking sense of course, but I think you're under-estimating just how much stupid is out there. BraveWarrior
10 for 11 shows he can be a game manager, and let's not forget the 36 yarder to Jackson that got called back on a penalty, so his yardage was better than the final stat. KC throws for all kinds of yardage, but can't win a game and turns it over too much, so which do we take? Our best hope is RG3 comes back and plays up to his potential. Not holding my breath, because I just think he'll never be able to avoid injury for any length of time.
