BRAVEONAWARPATH
Click on the link to read the rest. http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1717106/justice-league-wonder-woman-flash-rumors.jhtml While Marvel has been announcing TV shows left and right, DC and Warner Brothers have been remarkably tight lipped on the theatrical front. Back in July at San Diego Comic-Con the studio announced the highly anticipated "Batman vs. Superman," followed by the controversial announcement that Ben Affleck would be playing The Dark Knight in the movie. But since then? Other than a steady trickle of smaller TV announcements, nothing. But if we're reading the tea leaves correctly, that's all about to change, and possibly even as soon as this weekend: Wonder WomanRumors began flying fast and furious when actress Jaimie Alexander(who plays Sif in this weekend's "Thor: The Dark World") strongly implied she had taken meetings with Warner Brothers about "Batman vs. Superman." Alexander has stated on multiple occasions in the past that she's interested in playing Wonder Woman, which added even more fuel to the fire. And in fact, when MTV News approached her on the red carpet for "Thor: The Dark World" and asked her point blank about the part, the actress didn't turn down the idea. At all. More on that next week. This particular rumor gained even more traction when Variety posted a rumor heavy report listing the following actresses as up for a part in "Batman vs. Superman:" Gal Gadot ("Fast & Furious 6"), Elodie Yung ("G.I. Joe: Retaliation"), Olga Kurylenko ("Quantum of Solace"), and once again Jaimie Alexander. The casting description of the part? "Tall, brunette, athletic and exotic" Which, as the report specifies, could describe Wonder Woman, but it could also just as easily describe any number of girlfriends Bruce Wayne has had over the years. Still, the inclusion of Alexander, and given her reticence with speaking about the news seems to indicate something is up. Green Arrow Speaking of the TV versions of characters, and to further confuse things: TV's Green Arrow, Stephen Amell sent fans into a tizzy on November 6th when he posted a classic comic book cover featuring Green Arrow joining The Justice League... Without comment. Given the context and timing, fans speculated that "Arrow" would either be officially recognized as part of the DC Cinematic Universe, a la "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." for the Marvel Cinematic Universe; or that Amell could be hinting he'll be showing up as Arrow in a Justice League movie. Renegade7
Look, Man of Steel was great. That doesn't mean overload the sequel with unneccesary non-sense for the sake of making as much money as possible. Batman, fine, but you're going to have to get wonder woman right first before you can serious about doing the Justice League. If it's true the role will be going to Gina Carano, it will make up for which ever Ben Affleck shows up to play batman. That's a lot to ask for just the first movie with all three of them, such dynamic relationships and they set the tone for the rest of JL.

And Man of Steel was awesome, I typically don't like when they stray off story lines, but they did a fantastic job in this movie, they altered the chain of events slightly in Superman's life, but they did it in an awesome way. And I loved the 20+ mins dedicated to the Kryptonian war, just fantastic. You're right, bringing in too many heros so early could kill the entire justice league. Marvel did it right with the Avengers, they had separate movies with Thor, Captain America, Iron Man and Hulk. And in Iron man 2, introduced Shield (Nick Fury) if Im not mistaken, thus setting up the Avengers movie. This could be self imploding like the one Batman movie with Arnold, Alicia Silverstone, Jim Carrey, etc..... just way too many stars and too cheesy. mjah
If Gina Carano is Wonder Woman, then they'd better have a scene where she just does that sexy lip-bite-look-away-sly-smile move over and over. Yes please, Ms. Woman, as a matter of fact I would like a lasso-ing. And may I call you Wonder?

USS Redskins
I was lukewarm on man of steel in the theater... But after seeing it on blu... Wow, it is a great film. Loved it. From what I have read online, flash and ww will be introduced but will not be in costume. They are more like extended cameos.... There was even a story about night wing being involved, which would be interesting, the focus will def be on bat and superman but they want to start adding heroes now... SkinInsite
I hope they don't try to cram all the origin stories in one film. Man of steel would have been much better in two parts.
GibbsFactor
Man of Steel 2 or Batman vs Superman or Justice League (whatever it will eventually be called) has targeted Joaquin Phoenix as the "head villain" most assume will be Lex Luthor. Also, Jason Momoa has been rumored to be targeted for another villain role or possibly Hawkman or Martian Manhunter. Also, the Oscar winning Argo Scribe,Chris Terrio, has been brought in to polish up David Goyer's script.

DM72
I totally agree. There's plenty of young black actors that would be better suited for this role than the 50 plus Denzel Washington.

elkabong82
A little makeup and he'll be fine. I'd imagine he'd play the John Stewart Green Lantern, who does have an older appearance. Just keep Reynolds far away

Mr. Sinister
John Stewart was the Green Lantern I was hoping for.... But Denzel as Green Lantern? Thats a little weird
ConcordNCSkinsFan
Denzel as the Green Lantern is not surprising considering the Hollywood mentality. If they're gonna cast a Black Actor in a major role in a movie like this then they want that Black Actor to have as much mainstream appeal as possible. They only ever consider Denzel, Jamie Foxx, Morgan Freeman, or Samuel Jackson when their looking for a black actor in a big role for a blockbuster movie. DM72
A little makeup and he'll be fine. Denzel is one of the greatest actors ever, but this just screams "miscast." I see this being like Samuel L as Mace. With that being said, we'll get a John Stewart/Lantern that's more sophisticated and not some young hotshot which will be a good thing I guess. We'll see. The Evil Genius
I would have gone with someone like Idris Elba for that role. Elba, 41, is young enough to be Denzel's (59) son.

DM72
That's a good point. Speaking of Wonder Woman. Over the weekend I saw the pilot movie for the 70's TV show Wonder Woman. Very good if you get a chance to see it. Didn't know Wonder Woman was situated during WW2.
