As far as I'm concerned, Yellowstone is good and I got wrapped up in it for awhile and I want to get caught up again.  But it seems that your reasons for not liking it are "garrrr, Republicans are bad, I hate everything Republicans like and Beth sucks!"

But despite that, you made it through two seasons :)

1. Semi-guilty as charged. I just found the whole thing to be hypocritical. I don't judge The Godfather as harshly because it had a subtle way of admitting the characters were hypocrites. Same with Sopranos. This family (and the show writers) honestly believe they can justify everything.

2. It was during a very slow period in streaming. 😆

I think the thing that ties people in to characters like in the Godfather, or Yellowstone is that it's family based.  And the sense of somehow they're doing it for family reasons, it's somewhat understandable. Like, what lengths would you go to for family?  I don't think anyone here would commit the crimes found in Godfather and Yellowstone, then again that's fiction and no one here is living a daily life like that.

Actually, if one follows the Dutton family history with 1883 and now 1923, it adds a lot of context to the mindsets, actions (including the lawlessness) and politics of the family today.

And it makes all the craziness in Yellowstone not really all that far-fetched.

There’s always a little craziness in those small little isolated towns… (Fargo, The Reacher, and Dawson’s Creek <—— I kid).

I am watching Peaky Blinders on Netflix and I definitely recommend at least checking it out.  Well written, fantastic cinematography and a great cast.  I just started season 4 and cannot wait to see how the Thomas Shelby story unfolds.

It's so good!

Started The Last Of Us. I don't get it. Why's Mando's helmet aways off? Why's the Razorcrest a pickup? And how in the Force did Grogu become a human female child? Goddamn Kathleen Kennedy quit ****in up Star Wars.

Which is worse?  To be present in a world of suffering, or to be present in a magical world of rainbows and unicorns while your body withers away in the world of suffering unbeknownst to you?

The Force is with me. I am one with The Force.

Wife and I are blitzing through The West Wing.  Never watched it when it originally aired but I'm loving it.

I enjoyed it for a couple seasons, but started drifting away from it to the point of not watching an episode in a year. It's so idealistic and unrealistic that it went from feeling like a comfort watch to feeling like I was watching porn.

Well any realism questions I had went right out the window in the episode (pretty sure it's still in the first season) where the POTUS' daughter is out at a bar with staff members unaccompanied by Secret Service agents and a barfight almost breaks out.

It's very idealistic, but then again I think people are idealistic about their politicians.

Martin Short is a national treasure. The man never ever ever disappoints. For anyone who never saw SCTV back in the early 80s, hit YouTube and find some episodes. Great comedy and it's where I first saw him. Fearless mofo.

Also- This series made me fall for Selena Gomez, who is much better as an actor than a pop star. Smart, cute, and seems like she'd be a good person in real life.

I think this series is older, but my wife and I just started The Men Who Built America and it's pretty awesome. Obviously it's not covering much new ground and it's only for people who enjoy history...but it's pretty well done and very interesting. Has anyone seen it? Thoughts?

This is an outstanding docu-series! Are you watching the Industrial season that covers Rockefeller and Carnegie?  The History Channel also created The Men Who Built America: Frontiersmen that you might find interesting.
