RANSKINS98
I think this is great, if he is 100 percent he will probably be the number 2 back.

roanoker
Glad to have him back. Hope he is healthy as he is going to have some stiff competition for playing time.

NoCalMike
No such thing as too much depth. There is no guarantee Helu or Royster will play in all 16 games, so it's nice to know that one of them may have to take a game or two off and we still have a good 1-2 punch. Boston Skins
Hightower was a leader in the locker room, expecially after he got injured. Hopefully this will be a redemption year for him!
Zzj
We had to bring him back. If he's healthy he was easily the most talented and experienced RB left on the market. He can pass block well, catch, and was fitting into the system very well last year before he got hurt. Our RB corps is still quite thin, even with Hightower back. So I'm definitely glad that we picked him up.
warriorz
I'm always concerned after knee injuries. Depth is good but the jury is out...
vtsoldier2010
I'm always concerned after knee injuries. Depth is good but the jury is out... I agree somewhat but with modern medicine the way it is now it is entirely possible for him to come back healthy next year.
TD Riggo
Awesome! Tim Hightower IN DA HOUSE! One of the new bright spots in 2011.
bird_1972
Seeing as how we have a few options at RB, we don't need to rush THT back. This is good. He can take his time.
NoVaSkins21
If healthy, Hightower can play the Clinton Portis role as a good pass blocking RB and maybe a good 3rd down back. We'll see.

Conn
Morris will most likely go to the PS now. Not necessarily. Hightower could start the season on the PUP list, since we can afford to bring him along even more slowly and safely than usual. But its definitely a possibility. DogofWar1
Great...now I definitely have no idea who to pick from the Skins for fantasy. Just kidding, I never take backs from Shanahan's teams. Not since Davis. This is good news. We have 4 backs, all with differences in their games that we can utilize, and use to spell each other. Hopefully injuries will be kept to a minimum. IONTOP
Carry DistributionHelu 17 carries 90 yds Royster 7 carries 40 yards THT 5 carries 27 yds Griffin III 3 carries -6 yards That would be awesome! Fixed it for you... You forgot the victory formation rushes
Mr. Sinister
For me at least, it' still kind of hard trying to figure out what happened to him from preseason-regular season. He looked like a 1,500 yard back in the prreseason, then as soon as the regular season hit, he fell off the face of the earth. Seemed to press too much. Hopefully things will be different this year with the new roster additions, and him being more comfortable with the offense, provided he can get back 100%
Wyndorf25
Love love love love love the move. Can block, run and catch. If the line run blocks as well as it started to towards the end of last season he can do some great things. Agreed. Even if he isn't the starter...because he can do everything well, he is valuable depth at a position that requires depth. ---------- Post added May-14th-2012 at 12:41 AM ---------- JohnnyUtah....please post more often ;-)
Area51
He may be a good pass blocker, but our running game looked a lot better with Helu and Royster. I was hoping he’d sign with another team.
dahibachi
im perfectly fine with the move... there's going to be some deep competition at most every position this offseason and you can never be too deep at RB

He hurt his shoulder versus either the Cardinals or the Cowboys, and then he kept it from the coaching staff, probably because he didn't want to face losing his job again like he had in Arizona. A couple weeks on the bench and he came on like gangbusters versus the Panthers, and then...well...yeah.
moondog
This is excellent news. Tim is a local guy who LOVES the Redskins and absolutely wants to be here. He is a leader and a great locker room guy that was hungry to prove himself before. Word is he's even hungrier now after his season was cut short. All I've heard is that he was as hard a worker at rehab as anyone ever was and I have no doubt he will push himself as well as the other RB's to be as good as they possibly can this year. If anyone takes Hightower's reps this year, they will have earned it, and that is a great thing.
Zazzaro703
It is unreal how much speed the Redskins will have on offense at times. I wanted Hightower to come back. He will def have to earn a roster spot, but i think as long as he is healed he will make the team and contribute.
A Skinhead in Saints Land
A pass protection 3rd down back is a need. Glad to have him back. That's exactly what I thought when I read the news. He's prettyd damn good in pass pro, tough runner, and good pass catcher. He's all you can ask for out of a 3rd down back ,if that's indeed what he ends up being. Great addition. flexxskins
This is all positive. This is like having a combination of an extra blocking TE and WR in our backfield. He's also pretty good at running the ball to.
