I met my wife my senior year, when I was 17, she was 15 (two grades below me). I would have told her to join my troop just so we could go on "camping trips" if you catch my drift. Just asking for kids to take advantage of the situation, imo. That's a new badge. New level, actually. You go from Boy Scout and go straight to Man Scout. Chew
Wife surprised me this morning with an ODESZA ticket! I told her about the show a few months ago, but figured she wouldn't be interested since there's going to be a thick cloud of marijuana smoke hanging over Red Rocks amphitheater and she's preggs. But she got me a ticket and put it on my dresser this morning. ODESZA with a full orchestra, drum line, and laser show.....at the #1 concert venue in the United States?! LETS ****ING GOOOOO! Goosebumps incoming.

Renegade7
I hate when corporate america throws around the "family" term. They do it in a way that I don't think they understand what that means. I say that because I just witnessed at work what I already knew in action, to hell with what they say. 16 minutes ago, Mr. Sinister said: Not until about a year ago... Ya, I was squinting my eyes to try and read what you were saying, I get your overall point, though.

I don't like how our grade level history classes gloss over as much bad stuff in our history as they can to paint us as the hero, do other countries do the same? I work with some Romanians and I am absolutely shocked at how much they know about American history. One of them dropped an Abraham Lincoln quote once and I was flabbergasted. Then I felt bad for not hardly knowing anything about their history.

Ya, on flip side, my ex never had a world history class in grade school, so when I met her she didn't know who was with the Allies or Axis powers during World War II (she grew up in the Caribbean). I'm curious what a Russian history book's perspective on the United States is (not just how much, but their perception of how we handled our superpower status after World War II was over). We painted them as the villain, I'm almost certain they paint us as the villain as well (asking, since I don't want to assume).

Riggo-toni
What I always found odd was students I knew in the eighties and nineties who came here from failed communist countries extolling the virtues of socialism...so you came here to try and have a chance for success, but you want the government to bleed Bill Gates dry and everyone else who can afford a mansion... Considering investment income is taxed at a much lower rate than earned income, I don't have a problem.

Renegade7
I'm making Employee Removal guides for two of my closest co-workers right now. I feel sick, it was a business decision, but they had some of the highest tenure in the company, everybody is trying not to be on edge about it.
