Per Schefter: Su'a Cravens Considering Retirement

If this death penalty would result in a Donald Sterling-type forced team sale, I'm all for it.

I didn't think of that. That could happen. For the record, I was thinking of multiple high draft picks being taken away.

Why, with our track record (let's give J. Allen a pass for now) would that matter?

I wonder if his cousin Jordan got in his head about retiring after some injuries. Jordan Cravens was a TE on the rise but retired early citing injury concerns.

I think he's just a weak minded social media diva who cares more about instagram likes then being the best there is.

If the team orchestrated him turning into a Instagram diva over the past season and gave him a script during training camp to make even Will Compton doubt his interest in playing, all so they could pull a fast one on the NFL's drug testers, I take back EVERY criticism I've ever had about how inept this team's FO is. That is CIA level masterminding.

He either went blind, or he misunderstood the Dr telling him he had an astygmatism since 5th grade. Story is still out on that one..

Even then man, I would rather them take both my arms than my eyes. I can imagine the dude thinking hes got way too much life ahead of him in his 20's to test that stuff again.

I freak out when I have to put eye drops in my eyes though. So i may just be a chump.

I think Su'a is done.

If you look at his social media pages (instagram, twitter, etc) he's scrubbed pretty much anything and verything Redskins related from his media wall.

Even the screenshots with the redskins porno actress are gone.

That was done right after the news broke, right?  I thought I read that somewhere on here.

Either way, I agree with you.  For once, I actually hope the Redskins Redskin and take the low road with getting back every penny they can and force him into BK if need be.

FWIW. according to jsteelz "Right now even with talks, feel is Cravens will indeed hang them up"

Anyone could tweet this and have a 90% chance of being right. Has jsteelz and that crew predicted/reported anything post-Shanahan? I thought his accuracy got so bad at one point that TK even said that twitter account wasn't the actual jsteelz, it was someone else. That was a couple years ago.

Feel like we could have used an athletic hybrid type to blitz and actually finish the tackle Sunday and also float around the field on the breakdown plays to cover guys for extended periods.

I wonder how the coffee bar was Sunday while he was reading a self improvement book.

I hope he never puts a Redskins uniform back on in his life. Phony from jump street, and to cite ST's name is a insult to the franchise. Please just release him

*Josh Harvey-Clemmons, anyone?!?

For 'whatever reasons', 'Suzy' is 'disinterested' in football...

Wherefore, upon the hereon premises rendered and considered, he's 'persona non grata (i.e.: '****' his ass)'.

Everette seemed to not internalize that he was 'a SAFETY (Last Line of Defense)'; and, the Beagles' TE was 'HIS Responsibility' in coverage (on HIS 'Half/Quarter' of the field, on those 3rd-downs)!?!

Betcha 'Stefan (the Kid from Cal)' woulda been 'ON TOP of That'!!!

Sua is in philly now and then heading to LA on Friday. This is just sad. If he's going through personal issues I don't blame him.

Unlike all of you crazies :P

I'm already totally over this. I am HOPING he retires. I feel if he comes back it will be a distraction and you'd have to wonder if he was really "all in" or if he was just making a short-term financial decision. Unless Cravens had an honest to God mental health breakdown or is dealing with something very personal and very SPECIFIC, then I don't really see how you change your mind on something like this after a month. I imagine he felt quite relieved to get away from the team.

So so at this point, I'm hoping he just hangs them up and it will be very "whatever" to me. I'll always think he was kind of a wuss for how he allowed it to go down, but at the same time I have no animosity towards him and I hope he has a good life. He just wasn't cut out to be a football player. And I wasn't overly high on his prospects on the field either. Total swing and miss by the former GM. That draft class is looking disasterous.

Strange to me that he seems to be obsessed with watching football, at least that of his alma mater.  They wrote articles about his passion for football dating back to when he was a small child.  Yet the same guy appears to be mailing it in at training camp to the extent he has to be questioned by his peer and then 'retires' from football via a group text to his teammates that he ends with "peace out".  He's either got serious mental issues or is just weak and immature beyond measure.

If he comes back for say 2 weeks #TotalRecall, what would that paycheck be?  I don't care what the numbers are, more just food for thought if he comes knocking on the door. Su'a's home!

I sure hope he is not getting paid now.

I can tell you this. That tweet came from the legit JSteelz. There was a point where JS took a break from twitter & Chris Worthy had changed his handle to make people think he was JS. Some were able to notice & pick up the difference, most didn't. Keim & I had a few talks about it because he wasn't sure what had happened to JS until I showed him the differences & had showed him where CW had even plagiarized a few of my own posts from here on ES.  CW thought he could be a legend with someone else's "face" but all he turned out to be was an exposed hack.

Hmm, that's odd. I thought CW and JS were boys? I guess not. I still miss Kevin, lol. Would love to follow his input throughout this Kirk saga.

Anyone who watched that clip with Compton knows this is not the team hiding anything, this is very real.  Get him the Hell out of here already, the league is no place for a guy who doesn't want to be here.

At the end of the day it's a job same as any other. You can resign.

It's not the end of the world. All this stuff about 'he's immature' - well yeah he's 22 years old. The vast majority of the population would be immature at 22. It's his decision. Look, if there's something going on with regards mental health then he'll need help, but maybe he just didn't enjoy the job and thought that the potential for having a brain turn to absolute mush wasn't worth it. I can't blame him no matter the money involved.

Everett played all right.

And to Su'a i'd say this.

If it's raining, customers like it if you take that extra second and push the package up close to the door so it gets a little protection.
