I am just ready for the Redskins to hire a head coach and move on and focus on the draft

Then you’re in the wrong year buddy boy, you need a time machine back to the 2010’s

I actually have a couple of serious names that I’m wondering why there hasn’t been any league interest in (not necessarily us, but us too)

Lou Anarumo, Bengals DC

Ejiro Evero, Panthers DC

Press Taylor, Jaguars OC

Mike LaFleur, Rams OC

Matt Campbell, Iowa State HC

Lincoln Riley, USC HC

Theres some others, but there’s a starting list.

Why is Weaver not on any of these odds lists? Did he take a job elsewhere or something?

The writing is on the wall that they want it to be Quinn at this point.

Who knows if it will be. Even if we want it he has to say yes.

Earl?

I must have really mellowed out in my thirties because I just don't understand the desperation and panic. The team won't be good next year, but at least we'll know a lot more about the direction we're headed afterwards. Right now it's just a bunch of soothsaying/doomsdaying and crystal balls. Nobody knows a damn thing or how it will shake out. Ride the wave or the process or whatever, get upset when there are actual results on the field to get upset about.

Too much putting the cart before the horse in this fanbase but I can't blame anyone because that's what we lived on for hope under Snyder.

Exactly, folks talked themselves into the Ben Johnson to the moon and beyond hype and the crow is tough.  I haven’t been following to closely and come in here and folks are losing their minds, funny as hell.

Mike LaFleur is interesting.

Ya, I think so, too. Anarumo was a hot name last cycle. Kind of wonder what happened there. I’d love to have him as our HC. He has made chicken salad out of chicken **** with that Bengals D.

Lincoln Riley is the biggest question mark. But he is a young offensive guru. When you watch the Caleb Williams film you can see how brilliant his pass game design is, and a lot would translate. I worry about his overall running back usage a bit. He doesn’t get the most from his run game. But he always has his QBs performing. With a good staff around him I think they can maximize the positives while not accentuating the negatives.

you know he got a bad rep and was pretty much the scape goat in NY w/Jets, well apparently he wasn't the issue, maybe Saleh and Joe Douglas and Co. along with Hackett are as well, I kinda wouldn't mind him here in some capacity .....he was w/McVay in LA this season

I could throw my name into the mix for consideration as well, but as a HS HC I’m making a solid four figure stipend. So the Commanders would need to pay me at least 150x that or so.

We definitely need an offensive coach, because that's where the league is trending.

Of the available candidates from the offensive side of the ball this cycle, Johnson and Slowik both decided to return to their current teams. Harbaugh, Callahan and Canales were not on our short list for various reasons. There's really no one left from the offence - and no one we could have hired except maybe Callahan? We can't force an offensive guy in to be the hire at HC at this point just because of a trend. We have to hire the best guy available *right now*. Unless you want Eric Bieniemy .... ?

Good pull. I was gonna bring him up as well. I like his scheme and his players seem to play fundamentally sound football.

I’d take a long look at Lincoln Riley as well.

You gotta think that Quinn has all the leverage in the world at this point. Wild times.

If I had just spent 6 billion dollars for a team that ain't won spit in over 30 years I might just take a swing for the fences, consequences be damned,  and land my Learjet on the USC campus...

Lincoln Riley, come on down!

Not gonna' lie all this hate for Dan Quinn is making me a fun of his! His defense was top 5 last year, I'll take that! AND it would weaken the cowboys...bring me DAN QUINN!!! :)

lol, I wasn't a Dan Quinn guy.  Still not so much but I will accept the hire if it happens, without any bitterness.  I don't like to keep my head in the sand and ignore information that doesn't fit my opinion. And to that point as to Quinn its clear he's respected around the league.  Keim continued to harp on it for weeks on end.

So if it happens it happens.  i am good with it.  lol, it does feel a bit like Fassel where the fans were in revolt -- that turned out great for us, Zorn was a newbee, interesting hire. 😎

Nobody has hired a better staff

Pete Carroll was here for 14 years and hired tons of coordinators and assistants during that time. His track record was pretty awful. None of his offensive coordinators (OCs) went on to become head coaches (HCs). The only defensive coordinators (DCs) who went on to become head coaches were Gus Bradley and Quinn, who both came to Seattle as part Mora Jr.’s staff. Robert Saleh and Dave Canales are the only other guys on the staff who went on to be HCs.

Quinn assembled more coaching talent in his first season as a HC than Carroll did in his 14 years combined. That’s not just about Carroll. The crew Quinn pulled together was one of the best in the NFL over the last decade.

Maybe there's another Gruden somewhere in the hopper waiting to pop out?

I was just venturing over looking at the 49ers coaching staff...to the 2 biggest names (because of Dad Gary) is Klint Kubiak (offensive passing game Specialist w/10yr exp) & then his Brother Klay Kubiak (assistant QB's w/4yrs exp)  maybe we make it a family affair ..take a flyer on these young guys like the Packers did Matt LaFluer....

This is how it’s been so far for us fans. Warning, the following pictures are extremely offensive and may cause PTSD:

finding out we got Peter’s as GM-

Finding out Johnson was a lock-

mentioned him a few pages back. Along with james Franklin and Kirby Smart. I would be fine with any one of them for sure.

Bro. It is ES. Desperation and panic is what we do well.

I'm looking forward to Dan Quinn announcing he is staying in Dallas, so we can all start complaining that we didn't get the guy that no one wanted.
