I see this as John Lynch landing Kyle Shanahan and working so closely with him to build the 49ers to what they are. Mike Macdonald is likely to get an HC job this year. So Weaver would be his replacement. He would have a high first, three second round picks and two third round picks + two first round picks the next two years. That's a haul to build upon. You give up a particular player to get build capital. Is it the right decision? I don't know.
