LOL you don't like Daniels and thats fine but all this over helping recruits with some airline tickets? And blaming a kid just 1 year out of high school like it was some nefarious plot on his part? Again, it was clear there were zero issues, none at all, when he was at LSU with his mom or any other relative of his. Also he is still close to nearly everyone that was coaching at ASU - Herm Edwards, Antonio Pierce, Marvin Lewis, etc. Aiyuk and Rachaad White are his best friends.

I'm sorry what would you like me to do with the bolded? People can think I'm wrong, that is totally within their right, just as I can think they are. I don't actually pay that close attention to who interacts with whom on here (nor do I care enough to pay attention that closely to be honest). As for the rest of it, nobody said early breakouts in college means nothing. Where was that said? In what post? I said the league puts more weight into the most recent season played than anything else and this is a "what have you done for me lately" league. Does that mean the first season of play doesn't count at all? Well lets hope not since Daniels also was touted everywhere for his rookie season at ASU. The point is we have seen several prospects fall and rise because of their final season of playing college ball - most recently with Howell and Burrow on the opposite end of the spectrum. What? The original discussion was about Fields vs Daniels in college. Why is what he has done in the NFL even relevant when they were being discussed as prospects?

I mean, thats fair and probably true but we don't need to rewrite history cause Mac Jones sucks now. Everyone was raving about his rookie season, even the much loved PFF folks - I can link articles upon articles touting how it was "better than Brady's and Rodgers rookie seasons!" The NFL did a full mini movie on his rookie season...I am not making up how much hype and praise he got around the league

1. Nobody ever said Mac Jones had an elite rookie season but lets not pretend league opinion wasn't that he had a very good rookie season. I don't understand why people don't see why teams care less about 2022. Mac Jones had a very good rookie year and took the Patriots to the playoffs and nobody cares about that now, just 2 years later. This is very much a "what have you done for me lately" league. Sam Howell had a great 2020 and was talked about everywhere before his final season as a surefire 1st round pick...then his final year happened and nobody cares about that tape from the year before. It was all about his most recent tape. Nobody cared about Burrow's tape besides his final season - there are a ton of examples.

People have completely overrated or just have amnesia when it comes to Fields in college. In nearly 2 seasons he ran for over 100 yards in a game only twice. Fields in 2019 - 471 yards, 10 TDs (full season) Fields in 2020 - 383 yards, 5 TDs (in 8 games) Daniels in 2022 - 818 yards, 11 TDs Daniels in 2023 - 1,134 yards, 10 TDs Fields is more like Allen as a runner. He's going to help you when you get close to the endzone or need to pick up a first down but he was never some super speedy proficient runner in terms of yardage nor was he someone whose legs teams had to account for or play differently because of.

Cool cool cool Every single year people overrate these pro days or give them more credit than they deserve. People will make some throws, miss some throws and nothing will change. I just don't understand how, the vast majority were loud, wrong and looked foolish after making grand declarations about Ben Johnson being a done deal and confirmed we are back here already lol (and that means declarations about anyone - they might love McCarthy I don't know).
